We Have Independent Evidence That al-Nusra Was Arrested With Sarin Gas – Author – By SPUTNIK

Washington is looking into the possibility of launching new attacks against Syria, according to US Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, as the new strikes could come as a response to the Syrian government’s alleged use of chemical weapons. Radio Sputnik spoke with senior lecturer at the University of Sydney, Dr. Tim Anderson.

Sputnik: In your view, how likely is it that a new US attack against Syria is going to happen?

Dr. Tim Anderson: Well it’s unpredictable because the rationales keep changing and the US commitment to this war is uncertain at the moment because they have steadily been losing for the last couple of years, but these sorts of threats have become rather routine.

It might sound a little bit different because we have a new intelligence spokesperson here appointed by President Trump last year but he has been in their intelligence committee since the beginning of the conflict, so he is really part of the establishment of this war. But it’s a repetition of what we have seen several times before.

Sputnik: Last year when President Trump ordered these strikes the world was very negative, it was a very divisive action that happened and probably a bit out of surprise in terms of what he was talking about before. So if these new strikes do happen, what are the repercussions that may happen and bring for the Syrian government as it stands at the moment and for the peace process in the country? It certainly looks like it’s going to go backwards, by the sound of things.

Dr. Tim Anderson: Well if you listen to the rhetoric, I suppose, coming out of Washington, that’s the problem that the rhetoric is at a very high level. In some ways it’s at a high level because they are running out of options and really they have been losing for quite some time, as I said.

Remember that it was US intelligence back six years ago that said they knew that extremists were in the insurgency and that is exactly what they wanted. Only just a few weeks ago, Defense Secretary Mattis said that, well, they didn’t have any evidence directly of use of sarin gas in Syria.

READ MORE: Israeli PM Calls US Envoy to UN ‘Hurricane Haley’

We know, however, from independent evidence that Jabhat al-Nusra*, the group you just mentioned, was arrested in Turkey with sarin gas and that the UN investigated the use of sarin gas early in 2013. So if you look at the facts, the independent evidence has said that the al-Qaeda** groups have used sarin gas and the Syrian government has not. But it doesn’t stop the US from keeping using that rhetoric to try and heat up things and try to undermine the possibilities of a political settlement.

Sputnik: As the rhetoric continues it is very confusing what the end game is, as I mentioned before; what comes next for the Syrian peace process from your point of view, what can you share with our listeners?

Dr. Tim Anderson: The local on the ground military solutions in many respects have been very important and also the reconciliation, let’s not forget that since 2012 there has been this process of trying to reintegrate fighters who didn’t have blood on their hands, who weren’t directly involved in killing people.

READ MORE: AfD MPs in Damascus: Media Coverage of Syrian Conflict is Fundamentally Untrue

People who have assisted those groups or those who have been bought over with Saudi money and so on, and that has led to more than ten thousand people, I can’t give you an exact figure on that. So there has been some process inside the country and then there was a process in Sochi just recently after the Astana talks, where significant number of groups, internal opposition as well as external opposition, which is important, agreed to adoptive framework of leading to a new constitution.

I think the US is really upset with that it doesn’t have a say in that and it’s been taken out of its hands by the regional players and Russia and perhaps a lot of these recent provocations have been trying to undermine the fact that, not only on the military level but at a diplomatic level and political level, there is movement towards a resolution here.

‘They can’t beat us fairly’ — Lavrov on Olympic ban of Russia – By RT

‘They can’t beat us fairly’ — Lavrov on Olympic ban of Russia
The doping scandal that keeps many Russian athletes from competing in top events, including the ongoing Winter Olympics, was just part of the West’s devious strategy against Moscow, Russia’s foreign minister has said.

Sergey Lavrov said barring dozens of Russians from the games was “part of this unfair competition, because the Americans apparently can no longer beat us in a fair fight. They believe that taking back and preserving uncontested leadership in global sports requires sidelining the competition.”

The assertion came in an interview the minister gave to Rossia-1 news channel, aired on Sunday. Lavrov said in other areas he saw the same approach, “the use of unilateral, coercive, illegitimate, unlawful actions to obtain the advantage.”

Lavrov believes that the US and other Western powers are now fighting dirty because they cannot deal with the fact that Russia resurged after a low point in the 1990s, when much of its government was influenced by various foreign advisors pushing the agendas of their native countries. Russia has since realized it was “not a newborn country but a nation with a thousand-year long history” that its citizens should be proud of.

“This was a shock for the people who falsely thought they could act with impunity against Russia. I believe they still cannot deal with this shock,” he added, saying the symptoms of the condition included the “Russiagate” scandal, an allegation that Russia somehow attacked American democracy during the 2016 presidential election. Lavrov says there will never be proof of such interference.

“They have been investigating this for a year and not a single fact has surfaced to corroborate these speculations,” he said. “If there were any facts, they would have been leaked by now. I know this is how the US system works. Everything gets leaked with so many people involved in all those hearings and investigations.”

The Russian minister said Moscow saw the current state of relations with the US as abnormal and expected it to be fixed in time. For its part, Russia will not take hasty action in retaliation to US moves like anti-Russian sanctions, to avoid fueling the hysteria and giving leverage to people wishing to escalate the tensions, he said.

Lavrov said he personally was “indifferent” to being listed on Washington’s latest list of Russian citizens who may be subjected to further sanctions. But he said he was initially baffled by the way the anti-Russian panic affected people in the US.

“I could not believe my eyes and ears, seeing and hearing many officials in Washington, in the administration and Congress, whom I knew personally — quite serious and smart, rational people. I was amazed to see them being stripped of every bit of sense by this mass psychosis,” he said.

US-led coalition conducts ‘defensive’ airstrikes against Syrian forces – By RT

The US-led coalition has carried out several “defensive” airstrikes on Syrian forces in retaliation for what they called an “unprovoked” attack on the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and foreign military “advisers.”

“In defense of Coalition and partner forces, the Coalition conducted strikes against attacking forces to repel the act of aggression against partners engaged in the Global Coalition’s defeat-Daesh (Islamic State, IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) mission,” the Central Command said in a press release.

The retaliatory attack was carried out after Syrian “pro-regime forces initiated an unprovoked attack against well-established Syrian Democratic Forces headquarters,” the coalition claimed.

The US-led coalition has also firmly stressed its “non-negotiable right to act in self-defense,” since its service members are embedded with the “partners” on ground in Syria.

The confrontation reportedly took place some eight kilometers east of the Euphrates River “deconfliction line.” There were no immediate reports of casualties on either side.

Wednesday’s incident is the latest of its kind involving the US-supported rebels and Syrian government forces. Washington remains under the impression that the coalition air force and its “partners” are allowed to operate east of the Euphrates, while the Syrian forces should remain west of the imaginary demarcation line.

Damascus has repeatedly stated that the US coalition presence on its soil is an act of aggression and a violation of the country’s sovereignty. The Russian and Syrian air forces are the only ones officially allowed to operate in Syria. In fact, the government of Syria has repeatedly asked the United Nations to urge the US to leave, particularly following the virtual defeat of Islamic State terrorist group. However, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has instead promised that US troops will remain in Syria indefinitely to counter Syrian President Bashar Assad and Iran’s influence in the region.

The US-led coalition also mulled creating a 30,000-strong border force to secure control of the territory held by their partners in Syria. Since the force would include the Kurdish-dominated SDF alliance, the idea triggered a strong backlash from Turkey, forcing Ankara to initiate ‘Operation Olive Branch’ to secure a buffer “safe zone” in Syria.

Washington seems to have departed from its publicly stated goal of fighting Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and is ready to partition Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned earlier on Wednesday.

“It’s very likely that the Americans have taken a course of dividing the country. They just gave up their assurances, given to us, that the only goal of their presence in Syria – without an invitation of the legitimate government – was to defeat Islamic State and the terrorists,” Lavrov said.

“Now they are saying that they will keep their presence till they make sure a steady process of a political settlement in Syria starts, which will result in regime change,” the minister said during a conference in Sochi.

TEEBAT AL-IMAAM LIBERATED; SYRIAN ARMY ON A ROLL IN DER’AH; LAST CITIZENS LEAVE BESIEGED TOWNS OF KAFRAYYAA AND AL-FAW’AH – By Ziad Fadel

It stands to reason that the town of Teebat Al-Imaam would be liberated after Sooraan was relieved of its terrorist burden. Forces are now gathering in the area of Mahardaa for the push on Hilfaayaa. The SAA is still trying to get the terrorists to leave the area for Idlib, but, without much luck so far. The Nusra/Alqaeda rodents know their fate is sealed and their commanders, now flush with new fighters from abandoned areas around Damascus, are unwilling to relinquish what they have in northern Hama. Essentially, they have given orders to fight to the last rat. I believe the SAA is trying to get citizens out of Hilfaayaa so the town can be vaporized by thermobaric bombs. You all saw what the Russian Air Force did on Souraan with that tape sent by Silvia. So you know what the plan is now, It is absolutely inconceivable that the rodents will allow citizens to leave any area.

The SAA is pushing Nusra/Alqaeda out of areas of Hilfaayaa where the vultures used to lob mortar shells at the citizens of Maharda. News reports from compromised news services about Alqaeda having regained what it lost to the SAA 2 days ago at Teebat Al-Imaam are patently fabricated nonsense. It’s just the opposite as the SAA is bracing to invade Hilfaayaa any hour now. There is a jumble of mutual-vilifications and invective infusing communications between rodent groups, each one accusing the other of incompetence in the face of enormous losses to government forces during the SAA’s campaign to eject these carriers of disease from Hama Province. The SAA has so far killed 233 rodents and wounded hundreds in the battle for Teebat Al-Imaam. It has also destroyed 2 ammunition depots, 6 tanks and an armored car from Turkey.

The last grouping of citizens has now left in 26 buses from Kafrayyaa and Al-Faw’ah to Western Aleppo, specifically government controlled Al-Raashideen. This area was selected as a destination because of the large number of empty apartments available for immediate tenancy. The other grouping made up of rodents from Madhaayaa, Sirghaayaa, Buqqeen and Al-Zabadaani have also arrived in Idlib Province – their final destination, so to speak. The people of the tourist areas in the mountains west of Damascus are elated with many former terrorists now either going back to a normal life or joining the popular militias whose role has been crucial, if not indispensable, in the fight against American-British-Saudi-Turkish terrorism.

One note about the name of the town just liberated. It is best pronounced “Teebat Al-Imaam” (The geniality of the Imaam). Some sites are miswriting it as “Tayyibat Al-Imaam” which makes no sense in Arabic. Just a note.

Another note: It appears that the most accurate way to spell Kafrayyaa is exactly that. The name is indistinguishable from the famous location in Mount Lebanon where one of Ziad’s favorite Araqs is produced: The Kafrayyaa Araq “Thrice Distilled”.

The evacuation of the two towns of Kafarayyaa and Al-Faw’ah devastated Saudi and Turk plans for northern Syria. Interestingly, it was Qatar which played a pivotal role in midwifing the exchange. Don’t think that the Qataris did this out of the goodness of their reptile hearts. They negotiated this deal in order to secure the release of 27 Qatari degenerates held by Iraqi Shi’ite militiamen who took these rodents hostage after they were found hunting in Southern Iraq. In order to obtain their release, Qatar had to engineer the evacuation of the citizens of the two towns in Hama. No doubt this left a bad taste in their mouths seeing that all they have done during the last 6 years has been to promote terrorism and brutality with their dirty loot.

Born to a Sikh family from Amritsar, Punjab, India, she has staked out a niche for herself among a pantheon of Republican weasels and what Shakespeare would have called “beetle-headed flap-eared knaves.” She is ignorant beyond belief and will redefine what imbecile Samantha Powers couldn’t quite do while representing the United States at the U.N.: make the people of America seem hopelessly bonded to intractable ignorance. She is so pro-Zionist that she is seen often spasmodically expectorating the chemically self-same toxins which used to fly out of Hillary Clinton’s maw. She has a brother who served as a chemical weapons “expert” with the U.S. Army. This is why the U.S., Jordan, Britain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are moving at double time to put together a new army to battle for Southern Syria.  The Manshiyya Quarter is perilously close to falling into the liberating arms of the Syrian government’s military.  You can see this happening by the number of demonstrations inside Der’ah praising the army and celebrating the evacuation of Kafrayyaa and Al-Faw’ah, something that would have been unthinkable one month ago.

The Nasty Truth About the CIA – By Gordon Duff [ Society ]

67345342342Telling the truth is a dangerous thing as many know, illegal in fact. Doing so with circumspection, using allegory and a touch of irony is always best, but requires wit and even intellect, something in short supply. That said we move forward.

I have been in discussion recently, with intelligence officials from the Reagan era, military, FBI counter-intelligence and unnamed others and have reached some startling conclusions. You see, recent events have pushed the envelope as to what can be spoken of and “leaked.” There is also enough anger out there, and there is nothing more dangerous than old angry people, that what was once held back can now be spoken of.

Ronald Reagan took office in January 1981. The CIA was beginning a war in Central America, was running operations across Africa and was deeply involved in issues in Egypt and Lebanon. These were things I knew of but am unable to indicate why I may know of them, but my knowledge is personal.

Russia was at war in Afghanistan, the US still had hostages in Iran and America had over 500,000 troops in Europe.

One of the first moves of the Reagan presidency was to “de-task” the CIA and then “re-task the CIA.” Vice President George W. Bush had been CIA director under the truncated presidency of Gerald Ford and had spent this time learning the narcotics business and placing the Bush family at the forefront.

As CIA director, in 1977 Bush sent his son Jeb to Venezuela to take over banking relationships between that nation and Colombia. George H.W. and his son Jeb were seminal in the fostering and creation of the drug cartels in Colombia and established the CIA connection that would burgeon under Reagan, but I am getting ahead of myself. Colombia was all about controlling the world’s cocaine.

Simultaneously, the CIA under Bush established strong connections with the narco-tribes of Northern Afghanistan. While the US, through Pakistan and their military and ISIS, ran the Mujahedeen, the CIA began building a narcotics empire there based on heroin. It would have to wait until another Bush son could take advantage of 9/11, perhaps even have some inside involvement if other intelligence is correct, before the CIA could take over world heroin production as well.

When Reagan got into office, Bush set up a committee, names like North and Secord and even bin Laden were among the strategic planners. Reagan himself brought in Lee Wanta, who sat in on only some of the meetings, meetings that planned economic warfare on Russia, crashing the ruble and eventually crushing the Soviet Union.

However, the primary effort was in simply taking over activities of the CIA and ending America’s intelligence program, as we see now, “forever.” There is no CIA. This is not a fact carelessly stated. Real intelligence is dangerous and from that time onward, congress would never see anything not hand fed them with full approval of key controlling figures who ran the world’s drug trade.

You see, before that the CIA was always independent, and under Allan Dulles perhaps even involved in murdering Kennedy, or so rumors state. The CIA as with the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover, was a law onto itself.

The CIA was certainly capable of using its skills previously aimed at assassinating foreign leader and focusing those capabilities back on the United States.

The CIA as with the Pentagon, were expressions of the will of world oligarchy and whatever the vision of the time was for a New World Order. That vision changed as ideas and situations changed, as technology changed, and as time and death pushed new ideas and new goals to the forefront. Suffice it to say, the CIA and Pentagon, as today, abide as part of America but are certainly not American, not hardly.

Here’s how it looks if you were there:

Let’s say you were working at an operational facility on Monday, January 26, 1981. Communications then was via Telex, there was no internet. As phones were not secure, other communication was via courier, sometimes from embassy channels, other times from airline personnel, “stews” who ran documents and other materials for the CIA. Without Pan Am, there would never have been a CIA.

Typically, an operational office, based on personnel and their skills, connections and networks, might overlap, dealing with let’s say Bulgaria and Jordan and even Panama, simply because the people were there than had the relationships, the language skills and the cover identities that allowed operations.

Nothing was done from Langley, nobody sat in a cube and then taxied to Dulles Airport, off to shoot down a dictator or rig an election, this is TV.

Pretty much everyone worked for a corporation, Michelin, Dupont, Fluor, Bechtel or was media or a banking official or even a diplomat. All were thugs mind you but thugs with day jobs, albeit theoretical cover “day jobs.” In January 1981, all that came to an end.

Now we go to allegory and circumspection. That morning of mornings, the “new broom” in Washington, a former CIA director as Vice President, everything changed. Stories say that one CIA station chief found a prominent Colombian drug cartel leader sitting across his desk when he arrived. Here is how the story goes:

“I got in that morning, past the receptionist, past the armed security that the public never sees, picked up my mail, got my telex’s and opened the door to my office. To my astonishment a Latin looking gentleman was there with a 4-pocket shirt, a big Rolex and a diamond the size of a marble. He was cutting a cigar. He introduced himself as a “Colombian businessman” and told me that he was advised that I would be able to help him. It was that day I met my new boss, or at least one of them.”

From that day forward, Russian agents in Egypt were no longer a problem for the CIA, overthrowing Ghana’s governments didn’t matter so much, in fact the Soviet Union had moved to “back burner.” From that day forward all CIA activities were to involve either moving narcotics or running operations that served no other purpose than to, wait for it…run narcotics.

Why have a war in Central America? Why invent Daniel Ortega, a liberal politician from Nicaragua as a dangerous dictator? Could it be because arming “contras” used planes that accidentally came back loaded with cocaine?

When the CIA took over oil operation services in the Gulf of Mexico around that time, the boats that came into New Orleans and other ports, were “tasked” with carrying “medical supplies” to Honduras to support the covert was on Nicaragua. They came back loaded with, wait for it…cocaine as well.

Every discussion was “cocaine” and how to use CIA technology to avoid police, jam radars, find missing bales of drugs or how to keep America’s allies in Colombia from killing each other off and ruining business.

Miami became the center of the drug universe, where the warriors fighting communism sat in hotel lobby’s with umbrella drinks, heading to the toilet every few minutes to stoke themselves up on cocaine.

Money moved in trash bags, too tiresome to count, some say they only weighed it. That money bought Washington and was a key aspect of White House policy, and the cover operation to sell weapons to Iran through Israel and Saudi Arabia, then use this as a front to launder billions in cocaine cash in what became known as “Iran Contra.”

There was no “Contra,” only cocaine and the cash it brought and the American cities inundated with crack cocaine and a descent into addiction and crime that continues today.

The family that brought crack cocaine to America’s school children now delivers Afghani heroin at even lower prices. When the farce of 9/11 led to two invasions, to Afghanistan to put the drug lords of the Northern Alliance in position to kick out the anti-opium Taliban and to loot Iraq’s oil resources, there was no independent CIA left.

Even the CIA that served the world’s oligarchs, much like other intelligence agencies, might well have stood against the War on Terror, an expression of New World Order that would as we have seen spin out of control taking everyone and everything with it.

By 2004, the Bush family had privatized the CIA, bought off the Pentagon with Afghani drug cash and set up private mercenary armies. Some say, some very knowledgeable people say that every senior American officer that served in Afghanistan is dirty.

The decision was made, based on the lessons, both positive and negative, from Reagan’s Iran Contra adventure, to keep a continual war going as cover but make sure there would never be an American congress capable of investigating.

Toward that end, the US Supreme Court, servants of the narco-thugs, 5 members at least until Scalia died, legalized narco-bribery under what is known as “Citizens United.” This case legalized unlimited “corporate” contributions to any campaign, any corporation, any country and money with “no questions asked.” That money is from drugs and human trafficking primarily and it, along with the curious restructuring of congressional districts after 9/11, that financed with drug cash as well, put the narcotics business in charge of the American House of Representatives, the only investigative body, forever.

From that time on, they only investigated whoever the drug lords told them to.

What is key to understand is that the CIA only runs drugs, nothing else. Drugs are a source of capital and endless political power, all untraced, all attributable and utterly unstoppable during a period of endless war when the CIA runs its own airlines and lives in a world with no frontiers and no oversight of any kind.

Expecting otherwise is insane.

CHRISTIAN-KILLER AND DRAFT DODGER TRUMP FLOP; ATTACK ON BASE DISASTROUS FOR U.S.; NOTHING ACCOMPLISHED BY TRUMP, AS USUAL – By Ziad Fadel

FOURTH TRANCHE OF RODENTS LEAVES AL-WA’IR IN HOMS IN WHITE BUSES; ALQAEDA C&C DESTROYED IN DER’AH

image: http://17909.cdx.c.ooyala.com/pkMXBvYTE6Ba24rQ3UxozATpoJZ13PE-/promo315828251

Image result for us attack on airbase syriaI’ve now had the opportunity to fully research the so-called “damage” done by the American Tomahawk missile attack the night before last.  It is pathetic, to say the least.  The Russian MoD views the damage as a trifle describing the attack as a failure.  I too join that chorus after having received several communications from my sources and from Samer Hussein.  One Syrian officer who was quoted in Fort Russ, described the results of the missile attack as “laughable”.

Of the 59 Tomahawks fired from 2 U.S. missile cruisers in the Mediterranean – not the Persian Gulf as I mistakenly wrote yesterday – only 23 got within the perimeter of the base.

The Shu’ayraat AB is a base used for both maintaining aircraft and as a launch pad for Syrian bombers and helicopters targeting mostly ISIS in Eastern Homs.  At the time of the attack, I have been informed on the best authority, that 6 MiG aircraft were being repaired outside hangar protection.  The repairs were ordinary maintenance on high-performance bombers of Russian origin.  Only one of the aircraft was struck which then caused a fueling tanker to explode damaging severely the other 5 aircraft nearby.  (Fort Russ reports that the jets were MiG 23s).

An aging Antonov-124 cargo plane, largely used for storing tools was also damaged.  Its wings had been dismantled by the staff at the base.  It was a nothing target.  Other items destroyed by the American Tomahawks were one tanker truck, some cars, one hangar and a bulldozer.  Neither one of the 2 runways was hit although Russian officers believed that the primary target were the runways to prevent the SAAF from taking off.

image: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/80/Antonov-AH-124-100.JPG

Image result for antonov 124Well, folks, Fort Russ is right.  A Tomahawk missile costs about $1,000,000.00 per missile in today’s markets.  It’s manufactured by proven mass-murdering Raytheon Corp.  If the U.S. fired 59 of them, and only 23 made it to their targets, the U.S. not only wasted $36,000,000.00, but, also, plunked down a total amount of $59,000,000.00 for this turkey of an operation!  The damage to the Syrian AB was no more than $2,000,000.00 since all bombers, in their reinforced hangars,  were spared destruction.  From a financial point of view, the attack showed that Trump is a squandering buffoon.  He is not the penny-wise, pound-wise, entrepreneur he touted himself to be during his campaign.

And the best thing is that the Syrian Air Force immediately repaired the entire base in 24 hours with 2 of our bombers taking off and pounding targets in the Al-Shaa’er Mountain gas and oil fields area which the ISIS rodents, almost quizzically and preternaturally,  knew to attack while the U.S. was firing its missiles, demonstrating clearly that Trump has been mesmerized into becoming terrorism’s chief advocate.  We can actually smell British in this one.  بوي بريطانيايئ    (In Farsi)

Raytheon is, evidently, manufacturing junk rockets for the hapless American military.  With Russia now hurrying new anti-aircraft systems to Syria, one can only expect the U.S. to stop these reckless and senseless maneuvers.  But, Trump had to test his power as Philanderer-in-Thief.

Recklessness?  Tulsi Gabbard said exactly that in Congress yesterday when she called Trump’s folly, “reckless”.  This 2-tour-of-duty veteran of the Iraqi War minced no words and demanded that the new president stop taking unilateral action without consulting Congress.  She was joined by Rand Paul who also questioned the legality of Trump’s ludicrous behavior.  We can’t wait to hear Richard Black’s trenchant remarks.

But, Trump also murdered Christian villagers. According to AMN, the missiles which did not find their target, wound up killing 9 Christian villagers who lived in the Shu’ayraat area.  What a man that Trump is!

I’ve now had the opportunity to fully research the so-called “damage” done by the American Tomahawk missile attack the night before last.

The Shu’ayraat AB is a base used for both maintaining aircraft and as a launch pad for Syrian bombers and helicopters targeting mostly ISIS.

An aging Antonov- 124 cargo plane, largely used for storing tools was also damaged. Its wings had been dismantled by the staff at the base. It was a nothing target. Other items destroyed by the American Tomahawks were one tanker truck, some cars, one hangar and a bulldozer. Neither one of the 2 runways was hit although Russian officers believed that the primary target was the runway to prevent the SAAF from taking off.

Well, folks, Fort Russ is right. A Tomahawk missile costs about $1,000,000.00 per missile in today’s markets. It’s manufactured by proven mass-murdering Raytheon Corp. If the U.S. fired 59 of them, and only 23 made it to their targets, the U.S. not only wasted $36,000,000.00, but, also, plunked down a total amount of $59,000,000.00! The damage to the Syrian AB was no more than $2,000,000.00 since all bombers in their reinforced hangars were spared destruction. From a financial point of view, the attack showed that Trump is a squandering buffoon. He is not the penny-wise, pound-wise, entrepreneur he touted himself to be during his campaign.

And the best thing is that the Syrian Air Force immediately repaired the entire base in 24 hours with 2 of our bombers taking off and pounding targets in the Al-Shaa’er Mountain gas and oil fields which the ISIS rodents, almost quizzically and preternaturally, knew to attack while the U.S. was firing its missiles, demonstrating clearly that Trump has been mesmerized into becoming terrorism’s chief advocate.

But, Trump had to test his power and Philander-in-Thief.

Recklessness? Tulsi Gabbard said exactly that in Congress yesterday when she called Trump’s folly, “reckless”. This 2 tour of duty veteran of the Iraqi War minced no words and demanded that the new president stop taking unilateral action without consulting Congress. She was joined by Rand Paul who also questioned the legality of Trump’s ludicrous behavior. We can’t wait to hear Richard Black’s trenchant rejoinder.

And she’s a looker too. Tulsi Gabbard, Representative of Hawaii, in her army uniform. Unlike Trump the Coward, Rep. Gabbard served her country in war.

But, Trump also murdered Christian villagers. According to AMN, the missiles which did not find their target, wound up killing 9 Christian villagers who lived in the Shu’ayraat area. What a man!

Putin Responds to US Missile Strikes Against Syria – By RI Staff

Putin says US missile strikes violate international law and will have consequences

18 hours ago | 19966 286

There will be consequences
There will be consequences

Russian President Vladimir Putin regards the US missile strikes against Syria “as aggression against a sovereign nation,” according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov also noted that Putin believes the strikes are “in violation of international law, and also under an invented pretext.”

Putin knows what’s going on here.

No Russian soldiers were killed or injured in the attack, but that misses the point entirely: It’s an act of war directed at an ally that Russia has been fighting alongside with since September, 2015.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry:

According to Peskov, the missile strikes will further “damage” US-Russia relations, and will have consequences.

We expect Russia will respond with serious asymmetric warfare or even undisguised acts of retaliation — entire armies of “moderate” rebels evaporating overnight. Etc.

But Russia has a host of options on the table.

As always, Putin is keeping his cards close to his chest.

The beginning of the end for the U.S. Empire – By Michael Krieger (Liberty Blitzkrieg)

Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.

© Wikimedia Commons

Before I get into the meat of this post, I want to revisit something I wrote back in January.

From the post, Very Powerful People in the U.S. Government Want War – This is Their Sales Pitch:

We need to understand that those who want this war will be absolutely relentless. The sales pitch will not end until they get exactly what they want. This is where all of us critical thinkers need to play a key role. We must be prepared to diligently analyze all unsubstantiated official claims, and push back against the war-mongers, because we know for certain the oligarch-owned corporate media won’t. We must be prepared to inform our fellow citizens about what’s happening so that we don’t fall victim to a cheap sales pitch with devastating consequences. Unfortunately, we must also be prepared for a possible deep state false flag if the current sales tactic falls on deaf ears.

America cannot win a global war of such a scale if it is based on false pretenses and in the absence of exceedingly strong public support. This support does not exist. Will this serve as a necessary restraint against the masters of war and their devious plans? It’s too early to tell, but I do know that if we are unnecessarily pushed into a global conflagration, it will not end well for us. If this is the road our twisted status quo insists on taking us down, let us never forget who they are and the self-serving motivations behind their actions.

Four months later, the deep state got exactly what it wanted. Trump’s weaknesses have been identified and exploited, and he’s successfully been manipulated into neocon foreign policy like George W. Bush and Barack Obama before him. I’ve spent much of the past several months warning about exactly what happened last night, but the die is now cast. There’s no turning back from the path we’re on.

And don’t give me this garbage about Trump playing “4D chess.” Trump’s a brilliant salesman, and that’s about it. There’s nothing special or superior about Donald Trump intellectually, and he’s one of the most unwise people to ever become President. There was a hope he meant what he said about non-interventionism during the campaign, but that hope should be entirely extinguished at this point. Trump is a very weak man desperately looking for praise from those he claims to hate.

The purpose of today’s post is not to discuss what happened last night. All of you have read the news by now. My intent today is to explain what I think this means for the years ahead. I believe last night’s strike represents the beginning of the end for U.S. empire. Although the U.S. has been declining domestically for this entire century, America has still been calling all the shots on the international front. This makes sense in late-stage empire, as the focus of the fat and happy “elite” becomes singularly obsessed with domination and power, while the situation back home festers and rots.

Trump won on an “America first” platform that promised to emphasize the well-being of American citizens over geopolitical adventurism. We now know for certain he’s been manipulated into the imperial mindset, and his recklessness will merely accelerate U.S. decline on the world stage, and in turn, back home.

If anyone’s playing 4D chess it’s Russia. Russia is anti-fragile at this point, as has been proved by Putin’s survival in the face of economic sanctions, a collapsing ruble and a plunge in oil prices. Putin is still standing and arguably as powerful as ever. Not to mention the fact that the USSR completely disintegrated and collapsed within the past 30 years. They’ve been through a lot as a people. Meanwhile, the U.S. is extraordinarily fragile and weak by comparison, a distinction that will become quite obvious to us all in the years ahead. I don’t say this with any hint of glee or schadenfreude, I’m just stating the facts as I see them.

None of this implies that Russia’s leadership are a bunch of good people by any means. What I am saying is that they are a thousand times more strategic and intelligent compared to U.S. leadership.

To prove the point, this would be a good time to review a post I published back in 2014, Tensions Between the U.S. and Russia Are Worse Than You Realize – Remarks by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Here’s some of what I noted:

There are two reasons I think the following remarks by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov are so important.

First, as someone who spends much of his time analyzing and critiquing the many destructive policy decisions made by American “leaders,” I was shocked to find how accurate his description of the U.S. power structure’s mindset seems to be. He gets it, and he is more or less trying to warn the world that America’s leaders are basically power-drunk children. I concur.

Second, Lavrov also describes the negative impact that this behavior has had on the Russian psyche generally. He expresses dismay that the U.S. status quo sees the world as unipolar, and attempts to tackle every problem from the perspective that might is right. In no uncertain terms, Lavrov makes it clear that Russia will not stand for this. I don’t think the Russians are bluffing, so this is a very dangerous situation.

If there was actually someone in the U.S. State Department capable of such introspective and clear thinking, we might actually defuse this situation. Don’t hold your breath.

You should really read the entire post to see Lavrov’s comments for yourself in order to truly understand why I came to the above conclusions.

U.S. leadership is an absolute joke and will drive this entire country into a brick wall in the years ahead. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Chucky Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, are you kidding me? They remind me of George Armstrong Custer, and we all know how that turned out.

The media is even worse. In what Glenn Greenwald accurately called “one of the sickest things ever to appear on US television,” MSNBC’s Brian Williams gushed about the “beauty” of U.S. cruise missiles.

Here’s another sign of imperial collapse, Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, in a war zone calling the shots.

This is not the sort of thing you see in a confident, brave, and civilized nation, it’s the sort of stuff you’d expect to see toward the end. It’s the stuff of craven war-mongers, of dishonest cowards, of a totally deranged and very dangerous media. The signs are everywhere; imperial decline is set to accelerate rapidly in the coming years.

Fine, but how is all this going to play out? Obviously nobody really knows, but I do think we’ve entered a new period in American history. I think it’s basically a crossing of the Rubicon moment for the American empire. Personally, I don’t expect a strong and visible military response from Russia in the near-term. I don’t think Putin wants to give the U.S. media and newly minted neocon Donald Trump an excuse to do anything truly crazy, which they can blame on Russia in the court of public opinion. I think Putin is too smart for that. Rather, what I think he’ll do is make all sorts of moves behind the scenes to weaken America’s economic power, while at the same time engaging in minor provocations to tempt the imbeciles in charge of U.S. foreign policy to make further mistakes abroad, to which they’ll emphatically oblige.

In other words, Russia will attempt to make the U.S. extend itself further in a region where no real success is possible, at the same time that the American economy deteriorates further. Recall that the current very weak economic “recovery” has been going on for nearly a decade. This cycle is very long in the tooth, and all Russia really needs to do is sit back, make some moves behind the scenes and allow the U.S. to collapse upon itself in its hubris and stupidity. This is precisely what I think is going to happen.

Finally, let’s not forget the following.

Expect more of all the above as the U.S. empire enters its most devastating phase of collapse. Think about what it might mean for you and your family and prepare accordingly.

GOOFBALL TRUMP ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR ISIS TERRORISTS; AMERICAN LIARS CLAIM TO HAVE INFORMED RUSSIA OF ATTACK ON AIRBASE – By Ziad Fadel

RUSSIA AT CRITICAL JUNCTURE WITH U.S. RELATIONS AT ALL TIME LOW; DEATH TO BRITAIN AND FRANCE: IT’S COMING

http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=34.495522&lon=36.900845&z=14&m=b&search=SHAYRAT

Only a person as vile as Hillary Clinton would call for more bombing of Syria as part of a plan to replace a popular, secular and progressive government with that of the Saudi cockroach type. And, yet, that is exactly what Trump has now embarked upon. That we are getting ever-closer to WWIII does not bother that goofball in Washington. That Trump bypassed Congress in his declaration of war on Syria should startle no one. He has proven over and over again that he is unwilling to play by rules the Founding Fathers of this country laid down in something as humble as the American Constitution. He violated international law by striking at a sovereign country’s military base. He sought no permission from the United Nations. His action will now further underline the sheer hypocrisy under which the western nations operate and rekindle the anti-American wrath of the Arab peoples from Iraq, to Morocco.

But, let’s explain what happened yesterday at the Shu’ayraat Airbase about 30 miles southeast of Homs City.

The United States did not want to lose any pilots to Syrian anti-aircraft missiles. So, the brass at the Pentagon, who haven’t won a war since the invasion of the tiny Caribbean island of Grenada under imbecile Reagan, decided to use 59 Tomahawk missiles fired from the Persian Gulf. Now, to believe the nonsense coming out of Washington, you’ve got to believe that the missiles were fired after giving the Russians notice of the plan ahead of time. You also have to believe that the missiles were fired at areas where no personnel were located. You must also swallow the outright lie that the base contained Sarin gas canisters, but, (and this is an hilarious “but”) the missiles were programmed not to strike at any facility at the base which contained the canisters so as to avoid poisonous gases reaching civilian population centers! It’s pure comedy.

Nincompoop Trump just doesn’t get it. Like St. Paul, he recently had an epiphany on his dream road to Damascus. He suddenly changed his mind about Dr. Assad. Oh, really? You see, the unclever plan to store Turkish-manufactured Sarin and Chlorine gas east of Khaan Shaykhoon, in a warehouse for weapons and ammunition, which was a sitting target for Syrian aircraft was meant to kill as many Syrian civilians as possible. That Trump would employ violence to rectify a manufactured injustice so soon after the event, without benefit of investigation, only proves that the United States was behind the entire operation. Trump sacrificed 70 innocent Syrians to set up his ridiculous plan to further involve the U.S. in another foreign war – and this after he had made numerous promises to the American people that he would not do so. He is a liar. He is also a war criminal.

His failure to replace Obamacare has turned him into a rabid monster capable of any atrocity or obscenity. He feels a need to divert attention from his failures by doing what all diabolical tyrants do: invent a war to deflect attention. His plan to erect a wall between the U.S. and Mexico and paid for by the Mexican government has been ridiculed and vilified by peoples on both sides of the border and it appears that the Mexicans are looking for new trading partners. Trump, whose voting base in the Midwest has started to twitch nervously at the thought of losing billions in sales to Mexico, must now be distracted by a new war set up by codpiece Trump and his newly-embraced CIA criminals and neo-conservative Zionist moles – all proudly promoted by the derelict New York Times and Washington Post.

But, some good will come of this attack on Shu’ayraat: First, it appears Russia is incensed by this unjustified assault on the sovereignty of Syria, a member state of the United Nations. Putin can be expected to terminate all memoranda and understandings with the U.S. on “cooperation and coordination” in Syria. The whole idea was futile to begin with. The U.S. has always supported the terrorists. How could Putin actually believe he could trust the U.S at any level? Now, the cat’s out of the bag. You see folks, just like that attack by ISIS on Al-Tharda Mountain after a preposterous aerial assault on Syrian army troops by so-called “coalition” forces, the attack on our airbase was followed by an ISIS assault to retake the profitable Al-Shaa’er Mountain area gas fields. What a coincidence!! And, to make matters more interesting, this attack, unlike the Tharda Mountain assault, was absolutely intentional creating a situation in which the Syrian government would be within its rights to declare war on the United States.

Secondly, we anticipate some serious anti-American violence as a result of this attack. We are predicting huge demonstrations in Lebanon and Iraq in which the entire presence of America will be questioned. President Michel Aoun of Lebanon has not condemned the attack, yet, but will be under immense pressure to do so by his political allies in Hizbollah. In Iraq, Prime Minister Al-‘Abbaadi, will be under even greater pressure to cut ties to the U.S. after this unjustified attack on Syria. He will be pushed toward stronger relations with Moscow which is waiting with undisguised appetitiveness at the prospect of docking its warships in the Persian Gulf and having a direct access route into the Indian Ocean.

Thirdly, Iran now has to put up or shut up. In many areas of the Gulf, Iran could start to roil the waters. Bahrain and the Eastern coast of Saudi Arabia are prime targets. And better yet, how about an enhanced approach to helping the Yemenis to crush the Saudi effort to defeat the legitimate Ansaar-Ullaah movement fighting famine and a barbaric American-supported genocide in its country. The cat’s out of the bag. In every event where Arabs are being starved to death and murdered pitilessly, you find Washington D.C. at the lead, be it in Yemen, Libya, Syria or Saddam’s Iraq. The U.S. has killed over 2 million Arabs, mostly Muslim, and yet, we find the claw prints of the U.S., Britain and their allies in every crevice where Arab progress is found.

Fourthly, in Syria itself, there will be a recalculation by many in the opposition as to the benefits of American support. You will see it in the streets of Syria’s major cities where Washington will be vilified and Trump’s effigy crucified over and over again. Only the Wahhabist terrorists, supported by the venal English and the malodorous French, the pre-Cambrian Saudis and the ignorant Turks, the pedophile Qataris and their harem of catamites, will cheer on that Miles Gloriosus in Washington – they’ll cheer because Trump has made his decision to support terrorism, and in doing so will give terrorism in Syria that much-needed second wind to continue the rape of a once-successful country devoid of any debt and on its way out of the Third World. Trump has made his bed and will need to sleep in it. But, in his bed will be some undesired visitors like Zionist rats, ravenous arms manufacturers and bearded Wahhabist sodomites. All his promises during his campaign will be like the seventy two beautiful houris awaiting the Jihadist martyr, a fleeting glimpse into a vacuum, an abyss, a dark-eyed emptiness – all outright lies.

Fifth on our list, is Russia’s even greater commitment to Syria. It was bad enough when the combined dishonesty of Britain, France and the U.S. led to that momentous Security Council resolution to authorize force against Qaddafi’s Libya on the pretext that the Libyan leader was going to commit atrocities against his own people, which then led to the barbaric ouster of a leader whom the Russians viewed as a friend and business partner. That lie perpetrated by a cabal of savages in the West convinced Vladimir Putin that these Euro-Americans are only addicted to war and conquest and could never be trusted. In any case, Mr. Putin dedicated the war in Syria to a Russian rebuff of the Western plan to dominate the earth; he gave just enough help to our army in the war against Saudi-inspired/Turk-supported terrorism so as to turn the tables on the murderous villains opposed to secularism and progress. Now, with this insult in full bloom, Russia is expected to triple its commitment to the Syrian armed forces. If the terrorist grubs think that the attack on Shu’ayraat AB will be a boon to them, watch the extermination begin in Idlib.

______________________________

Trump has proven again that he is the Master of Disaster. If the Americans really believed that the Shu’ayraat Airbase was a depot for storing gas canisters they would have to know where the gas was stored. And if they used 59 Tomahawk Missiles on that base, each with a 1000 pound payload of explosives, then, how could they be certain they would not ignite the Sarin gas stored in the base? One would assume they would attack a base disconnected to dangerous and lethal gases. One would assume that rational people would know better. Unless! Unless! Unless they wanted to explode the Sarin gas in order to pay back the Syrian military for using it in Khaan Shaykhoon. And now, that no gas was detected, only proves that the gas, whether chlorine or Sarin, was not at the base and Trump will have to eat crow. These missiles are considered “smart”, but they are, in truth, very dumb. They don’t distinguish between aircraft, hangars and canisters of deadly nerve gas and they don’t exempt human victims. The Syrian government announced the deaths of 7 human beings thanks to Trump the Murderer.

I voted for Trump because the alternative was so malignant I couldn’t bear it. I knew it was a Hobson’s Choice. It was Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. But, as I ponder my decision, I realize that in a Panglossian World, Trump was the best of all possible degenerates. Ziad

OPINION BY WINSTON CLOSE
THE USA IS A TREACHEROUS CAULDRON OF EVIL. MORALLY
BANKRUPT THAT HAS BECOME THE VERMIN OF HUMANITY,
IT’S TIME TO CUT THEM DOWN TO SIZE.

Russia accepts West Jerusalem as capital of Israel, East Jerusalem as capital of Palestine – what’s the deal? – By Moon of Alabama

Russia just published a quite sensational statement on Israel and Palestine. It recognizes, as before, East-Jerusalem as the capitol of the State of Palestine. But Russia now also recognizes, under certain condition, West-Jerusalem as the capitol of the State of Israel.

This statement will make quite a wave and it has to be seen in the wider context of the war on Syria. Here is the original statement in Russian on the Foreign Ministry site and the auto-translation (excerpt):

Moscow continues to consider the formula for negotiating a two-state settlement of an optimal and friendly to us Palestinian and Israeli people, as well as to the interests of all countries in the region and the world community as a whole.

We reaffirm our commitment to the UN resolutions on the principles of settlement, including the status of East Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state. At the same time, we consider it necessary to say that in this context we regard West Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel.

Specific parameters for addressing the full range of issues of the final status of the Palestinian territories, including the Jerusalem problem, should be agreed upon in direct negotiations between the parties.

The part marked by me in bold is new. Older statements of Russia never included such a recognition. It is bound to conditions (“in this context”) so there is no free lunch for the Zionists. But it is still a huge achievement for Netanyahoo.

For a wider context of the new Russian position we have to look at the conflict in Syria. There the pressure on President Trump to launch a war on Syria’s government (and, make no mistake, thereby also on Hizbullah, Russia and Iran) is increasing. The probably staged chemical incident yesterday was the starting point for an intense pro-war campaign.

Yesterday the Israeli Defense Minister Lieberman accused Syria:

Lieberman told Yedioth Ahronoth that Syrian planes carried out the two chemical attacks, which were “directly ordered and planned by Syrian President Bashar Assad.” He stressed he was “100 percent certain.” The defense minister said he did not know if Russia was involved in the attack.

Russia and Syria have denied that either of them used any chemical ammunition. They say that the Syrian air force bombed an al-Qaeda ammunition depot which, unknown to them, may have included chemical weapons.

Today the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahoo called the Russian President and part of that call was a serious rebuke from Putin:

Mr Putin and Mr Netanyahu exchanged views on the incident involving chemical weapons on April 4 in the Syrian province of Idlib. Mr Putin underscored, in particular, that it is unacceptable to make groundless accusations against any party until a thorough and objective international investigation has been conducted.

But also part of that call, though not mentioned in the official note, must have been some agreement that led to the release of the statement above by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

A deal must have been made. A give and take and the West-Jerusalem release is part of the payment or reward. It is a HUGE price to win for Israel as Russia’s concession also gives cover for President Trump to make a similar announcement without messing up U.S. relations with Arab states.

We can only speculate on the Israeli side of the deal but there must be something Netanyahoo committed to. Russia would not offer the new position for nothing.

My speculation:

The mighty Zionist lobby in the U.S. (AIPAC & Co) is pushing for an immediate war on Syria. (It did so in 2013 but Obama called the war off at that time after the British parliament and later Congress rejected it.)

Netanyahoo could let it known that he prefers no war on Syria. The Zionist lobby in the U.S. would then shut up, pressure on Trump would be much relieved, a new war on Syria could be avoided.

In 2013 Putin arranged for a deal to destroy Syria’s chemical arsenal. The elimination of Syria’s strategic weapons was a huge gift to Israel. It also allowed Obama to keep face and keep away from war despite all pressure.

Now Putin is making another huge offer. Will Israel take this gift? Will Netanyahoo call off its AIPAC dogs of war?

The offer is not Russia’s last political resort with regard to Israel.

A million Israelis are of Russian heritage. They emigrated to Israel in the 1980s and 90s. They are mostly not really Jews but vote conservative. They also admire and cherish Putin. That is one reason why no Israeli politician, especially Netanyahoo, can afford a big political conflict with Russia.

Putin’s ultimate threat to Netanyahoo is to influence the Russian voters in Israel and to make them vote against him. It is a personal nuke under Netanyahoo’s seat.

But Putin does not like to issue threats. He offers and makes deals. So one wonders what the real deal behind the above acknowledgement of West-Jerusalem is. Is my speculation correct or are their better explanations?

Comment: The change reportedly took the Israeli media and government by surprise:

The Times of Israel said it regarded the Russian statement as an “unexpected, unprecedented, and curious move.”

The Israeli Foreign Ministry was taken aback by the statement.

“We are studying the matter,” the paper quoted a ministry spokesman as saying.

The Times wrote: “Recognizing only the western part of it would appear to deny Israel’s claims to the eastern part, including the Old City, which it captured in 1967 and subsequently annexed.”

The Jerusalem Post called it a “surprise” announcement.

It reported that Russia’s ambassador to Israel will meet with Foreign Ministry officials in the coming days to discuss the announcement. It said there is no plan to move Russia’s embassy to Jerusalem at this time.
