Putin: Difference between US and Russia – ‘We don’t do stupid things’ – By Rudy Panko

© Russia Insider
A giant among men.

Putin is on a roll today.

During a panel discussion with CNBC’s Geoff Cutmore, Icelandic President Gudni Johannesson and Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, Putin explained a subtle difference between U.S. and Russia policymaking: “We never do stupid things that would harm us. We never shoot ourselves in the foot.”

Putin then gracefully pointed out that Obama damaged the U.S. and European economies in an attempt to undermine Russia.

Russia does not behave in such a way.

So simple. Yet so profound.

Putin’s comments were made at the at the International Arctic Forum in Arkhangelsk on Thursday:

Cutmore: One of my views actually sent a question for this discussion — an American. And he said, ‘If you take further consequences against the Americans over sanctions, would you stop giving them rockets so that they could get to the space station?’

Putin: We would never do that. You know? Like a guy buys a ticket but doesn’t ride the train. We never do stupid things that would harm us. We never shoot ourselves in the foot.

The U.S. buys our rocket engines, and this way they are able to save money, taxpayer dollars, which they can then use to build their own plants. And we are also happy because this provides contracts for our plants.

We never do things that would harm our business, or bilateral ties — we are not going to do anything like that in this case, either.

The fact that the previous U.S. administration took this step — I think this damaged the U.S. economy, the American people, and then the Obama administration forced the Europeans to do the same, and this damaged the European economy, made it less competitive. And they lost hundreds of thousands of jobs.

It was fun watching Cutmore meekly nod in shame as Putin talked some sense to these dopes.

Henry Kissinger’s Food Occupation Of Iraq Continues To Destroy The Fertile Crescent – By Mnar Muhawesh

Iraqi agriculture expert Dr. Nakd Altameemi joins Mnar Muhawesh on ‘Behind the Headline’ to discuss the devastating toll that war, sanctions and Western corporations have had on Iraq’s centuries-old agricultural traditions.

The Iraq of today is associated with horrific violence, a refugee crisis and widespread poverty. The images we see flashed across the news show nothing but terror and misery.

But it hasn’t always been this way.

Modern-day Iraq lies in the Fertile Crescent of Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilization where mankind flourished as it developed seed cultivation and its first farming techniques — all nourished by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

Generations of people have tilled the soil there since 8,000 BC, developing the seeds that grew into the many types of wheat seen around the world today.

But centuries of cultivation turned to dust in 2003, when former President George W. Bush invaded the country, planting seeds of war that would be sown for years to come.

Unfortunately, the United States took more than figurative seeds to Iraq.

While about two million civilians were killed as a result of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, the war is still ingrained in the U.S. psyche as a humanitarian effort to save the Iraqi people from a brutal dictator.

But what it actually did was pave the way for foreign corporations to descend upon the country and turn a profit on the chaos.

Invasion and Exploitation — Foreign Corporations File In

Following the U.S.’ bombing of Iraq and its capture of Saddam Hussein, the Coalition Provisional Authority was established to serve as the country’s temporary government.

The CPA was headed by Paul Bremer, the former managing director of Kissinger Associates, an influential consulting firm founded by Henry Kissinger, a former secretary of state and war criminal.

It quickly became clear that toppling Saddam wasn’t the U.S.’ only goal. The powers taking control of the Iraqi government were also seeking control of the country’s agriculture industry.

In 2004, Bremer put the “100 Orders” into effect. They were “binding instructions or directives to the Iraqi people that create penal consequences or have a direct bearing on the way Iraqis are regulated, including changes to Iraqi law.”

In other words, Iraqis were told, “Follow our orders or die.”

One order, in particular, had a crippling effect on Iraq’s centuries-long farming and seed cultivation traditions.

Order 81 — the Patents, Industrial Design, Undisclosed Information, Integrated Circuits and Plant Variety Law — gave those who hold patents on certain plant varieties absolute rights over the use of their seeds in Iraq for 20 years.

The order also facilitated the introduction and domination of imported, high-priced corporate-developed seeds, mainly from the U.S. These seeds do not reproduce or produce yields without prescribed chemical fertilizer and pesticide inputs.

This created a major dilemma for Iraqi farmers, as Najma Sadeque wrote in 2012:

“It meant that the majority of farmers who had never spent money on seed and inputs that came free from nature, would henceforth have to heavily invest in corporate inputs and equipment — or go into debt to obtain them, or accept lowered profits, or give up farming altogether.”

Meanwhile, the country’s national seed bank — located, unfortunately, in the infamous city of Abu Ghraib — was destroyed during the 2003 U.S. invasion and subsequent looting, making it another casualty of the Iraq War.

Farmers Forced to Pay Fees for Seeds for the first time

Today, because of Order 81, Iraqi farmers who choose to plant patented seeds that come from multinational agribusiness monopolies have to sign agreements that force them to pay a “technology fee” and an annual licensing fee.

If an Iraqi farmer saves seeds to replant in the future — as farmers around the world have done for centuries — they are subject to substantial fines from the seed supplier.

Ultimately, Order 81 and the actions taken by companies like Monsanto and Cargill have ensured that while Iraqis may no longer be under the thumb of Saddam Hussein, they’re trapped in a modern colonial struggle against an occupying force that seeks to control their livelihoods, their food supply and their cultural traditions.

Perhaps this should come as no surprise, considering Bremer’s ties to Kissinger. It was Kissinger who reportedly once said: “Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people.”

This type of control over agriculture and food production is a weapon of war and a tool of the oppressor. The U.S. has been using food aid and its role in global food production to advance its own interests since World War I.

Under the postwar trade regime, especially during the Nixon administration, trade pacts like the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade emerged to advance a new global agribusiness export agenda.

Within a decade, the global food cartel was controlled by the U.S.-NATO empire’s most elite families. They started buying up all of the world’s major sources of food and seeds. This is why just a few companies — including Monsanto and Cargill — dominate the world’s grain and cereal supplies.

It’s also why these companies descended on Iraq once the Coalition Provisional Authority created an opening, destroying a once-flourishing agriculture industry. In the process, they destroyed the independence of Iraqi farmers and forced the Iraqi people to rely on foreign corporations for even basic sustenance.

Here to talk more about the struggles of the Iraqi agriculture sector during and after the Iraq War and what the Iraqi government is doing to rebuild the industry, is Dr. Nakd Altameemi.

Dr. Altameemi started his career at Iraq’s Ministry of Agriculture, eventually serving as director general of both Iraq’s State Board for Seed Testing and Certification and the Mesopotamia Seed Company. From 2008 to 2015, he joined the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization as a consultant.

Russian General: US Trying to Destroy Syria’s Critical Infrastructure – By RI STAFF

A top Russian general claims that the U.S. is trying to “completely destroy critical infrastructure in Syria and complicate post-war reconstruction as much as possible”

Lieutenant General Sergei Rudskoi of the Russian military’s General Staff said on Tuesday that U.S.-led coalition airstrikes were intentionally targeting critical infrastructure in Syria — which could lead to major ecological and humanitarian catastrophes.

According to General Rudskoi,

[The U.S.-led coalition is] trying to “completely destroy critical infrastructure in Syria and complicate post-war reconstruction as much as possible.”

He added that US-led military aircraft had destroyed four bridges over the Euphrates River in Syria and hit the Tabqa Dam that lies 40 kilometers west of Daesh’s main stronghold of Raqqah.

Rudskoi further warned that the collapse of the dam, most commonly known as the Euphrates Dam, would create an “ecological catastrophe” and lead to “numerous” civilian deaths.

The United States denies that it targeted the dam, but evidence suggests that the control rooms as well as other parts of the dam have been completely destroyed or damaged.

To make matters worse, fighting near the dam could further exacerbate any structural damages to the site:

On Tuesday, coalition forces could be seen standing near military vehicles less than 2 km (1 mile) from the dam, their mortar rounds casually stacked nearby.

After a brief pause in fighting on Monday to allow technicians to enter the dam complex, SDF fighters resumed their operations around the structure, said spokeswoman Jihan Sheikh Ahmed.

“IS amassed its fighters and attacked our forces in the area, which forced us to respond and resume the operations to liberate the dam,” she said.

Earlier this year, the United Nations raised concern about the prospect of damage to the dam in fighting, warning that water levels — which put pressure on the structure — were already high.

On Tuesday, technicians accompanied by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent could be seen examining the dam to assess whether water levels had risen in recent days.“The explosions and the clashes are threatening the dam, and we ask for all sides to distance themselves from it,” said Ismail Jassem, an engineer from the SDF-controlled Tishreen Dam in neighboring Aleppo province.

On top of all this, yesterday it was confirmed that the director of the dam was killed by a coalition airstrike:

On 28 March it was reported and later confirmed that Director of the Tabqa dam Ahmed Al Hussein was killed in coalition strike while trying to inspect the dam. He was filmed in ISIS video just day before.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster — or managed chaos.

AIRBASE:  The area of the airbase is so well-studied by the Republican Guards under the command of Maj. Gen. ‘Issaam Zhahreddeen that you could say they knew it as well as their own hands.  The day before yesterday, a unit of crack rangers using night-vision equipment spotted 2 armored trucks just standing with over 14 ISIS rodents milling about in the darkness.  The rangers fired off 5 Kornet rockets at the 2 stationary trucks turning them both into bright candles.  The rodents around the trucks were reportedly severely injured.  If an of the vermin were inside the trucks, they were incinerated.

Heavy fighting continues around the cemeteries where the SAA is making slow progress in an area not viewed as crucial.  The SAAF also struck hard at Sariyyat Junayd, the Electric Company, Block Factory, Al-Jafra, Old Batalion 137 Base hitting ISIS nests, warehouses and grouping areas.  No statistics on how many rats killed.

QUNAYTRA:  At Mas-hara, the SAA engaged Nusra/Alqaeda supported by the Zionist Ghetto State and with a volley of rockets struck a weapons warehouse directly causing a large explosion which could be seen in Western Der’ah Province.  Weapons and ammunition were destroyed along with a convoy of 5 vehicles 2 of which were Toyota pickups with 23mm cannons.  A 107mm rockets launcher was also destroyed.  Monzer reports a visual assessment of 8 certain dead rodents.

ALEPPO AND HOMS:   Received excellent reports that 338 factories have reopened in Aleppo.  Also, the Sugar Factory in Homs has also been put back on line afer a 10 week hiatus brought about by the presence of terrorist rodents.

‘Uqayrabaat Town:  In the Salamiyya area, the day before yesterday the Syrian Air Force brought down death and fire to ISIS destroying a large convoy of weapons and ammunition purchased by the Saudi Arabian child molesters.

Other convoys of trucks carrying weapons were annihilated at the following locations:

Teebat Al-Imaam

North Sooraan

Tal ‘Uthmaan

South Tal Hawwaash

The number of dead and wounded cockroaches can only be estimated from the air and noted from terrorist communications. However, the number of vehicles destroyed can be counted.  According to my source in Latakia, pilots counted 68 vehicles going up in flames thanks to the air force.

On the 27th of March, 2017,  the SAA  liberated Ma’aarzaaf and Tallat Sheeha in a sudden raid on Nusra/Alqaeda positions there killing 11 rodents most of whom were foreign mercenaries.

Qamhaanaa Town:  This town boasts a population of about 20,000.  It is under the protection of the Syrian Army.  The terrorists of Nusra/Alqaeda have tried 3 times to overrun its defenses using a potpourri of suicide vehicles.  They have failed each time miserably.
The Syrian Army took control over Al-Bukhaariyya Axis giving it fire control over Khattaab Village.

Khirbat Al-Hijaama:  The Syria Air Force killed 17 rodents 6 of whom were members of the Turkistaan Party supported totally by Erdoghan’s zombies.  According to my reports, the 17 were the total number of rodents targeted making this a thorough wipeout.

West of Kawkab Village:  This hamlet was recently deloused by the SAA.  Yesterday, SAA rangers caught terrorists planting landmines.  They called in for assistance and it came swiftly in the form of a complete armored brigade.  All 7 rats were killed, and a tank was destroyed at Tal Sakhr.

Al-Zaaraa Village:  1 pickup with a 23mm cannon was destroyed.  No reports on casualties.

Strategic China Russia Arctic Cooperation – By F. William Engdahl

21.03.2017 Author: F. William Engdahl

234123123123Cooperation in building modern railway links, deep water ports and mining infrastructure in Russia’s Arctic and Murmansk Peninsula in the far north is becoming a strategic new element binding China and Russia. Its implications are worth a closer look.

On March 29 a high-level delegation from the Chinese Government and private companies will meet with their Russian government counterparts in the ancient seacoast city of Arkhangelsk on the White Sea at the mouth of the Northern Dvina River. The city is strategic as it is now navigable by ship year-around owing to technology improvements in Russian icebreakers. The occasion of the March 29 gathering is the fourth meeting of The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue forum since its creation by Russia in 2010. Among the agenda topics will be China-Russia cooperation in development of projects including the Belkomur railway and the Arkhangelsk deepwater port.

China’s delegation, seventy participants, will be headed by Vice Premier of the State Council Wang Yang, a Politburo member and leading Chinese political figure. Russia’s delegation will be led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. Rogozin is not only head of Russia’s Arctic Commission. For the past six years he has held the key post as Deputy Prime Minister responsible for the Russian defense and space industry. He is directly in charge of the Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects in the Defense Industry, Russia’s version of the US Pentagon DARPA.

Arctic Link to One Belt, One Road?

Though it’s not now being called such, the cooperation could conceivably become integrated into the vast China One Belt, One Road high-speed rail infrastructure and deep-water ports great project. That OBOR, as the Chinese call it, is rapidly developing into what will be a multi-trillion dollar development of the vast Eurasian land space with its enormous reserves of untapped raw materials–oil, gas, uranium, rare earth metals, gold and most every raw material needed by man.

For more than two centuries since the Napolean invasion of Czarist Russia in 1812, European and later USA geopolitical strategy has been to either attempt to conquer Eurasia, as with the Anglo-American China Opium Wars after 1840, or to destroy the development potentials, as with the London and Wall Street-financed 1917 Bolshevik putsch known in history as the Russian Revolution. Currently, NATO is pursuing the same geopolitical agenda of creating chaos in what Sir Halford Mackinder, the father of British geopolitics, called the Heartland–Russia and also China, as he described it in his later writings.

That is the real significance of the February 2014 US coup d’ etat in Ukraine led by Victoria Nuland Kagan and John McCain. It’s the real significance of the current US-backed escalation of tensions and sabre-rattling in the Korean Peninsula and South China Sea.

Viewed against that backdrop, the Sino-Russian developing cooperation in the Arctic have huge strategic implications, both economic, geopolitical and military.

Regaining Arctic Presence

For Russia, development of the infrastructure around Archangelsk and Murmansk has assumed strategic priority since the early years of this Century as NATO intentions towards Russia became more clear with the NATO eastward expansion, the 2004 US Color Revolutions in Ukraine and Georgia and the placement of hostile US missile defense installations on Russia’s perimeter.

The increasing strategic cooperation with China in development of Russia’s Arctic region brings new possibilities to undercut NATO economic sanctions imposed on Russia in 2014.

A good part of those sanctions targeted five Russian energy companies exploring the Russian Arctic shelf for oil and gas. Those were Gazprom, Gazprom Neft, Sourgoutneftegaz, Lukoil and Rosneft.

The Western sanctions slowed economic development of Russia’s Arctic dramatically as Western joint venture partners such as Rex Tillerson’s ExxonMobil were forced in September 2014 by the US Treasury sanctions unit to withdraw from major joint ventures with Russian oil company, Rosneft to develop the estimated vast energy resources of the Russian Arctic. Before US sanctions, ExxonMobil CEO Tillerson had signed a joint $500 billion Arctic energy development agreement with Russia’s state-owned Rosneft.

With China’s growing interest in cooperation with Russia in development of the infrastructure of the Russian Arctic territorial waters, Russia has a significant alternative to the Western oil companies to share considerable oil and gas development costs in the Arctic. China’s large state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has been in negotiations with Russian Rosneft for joint exploration of the offshore regions in the Russian Arctic of the Barents and Pechora Seas’ shelves.

In November 2014, just as US sanctions cut ExxonMobil participation, Russia’s Gazprom discussed joint development on the Russian Arctic shelf with China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOP).

Now the upcoming meeting between Chinese and Russian industry and government participants will significantly advance Sino-Russian economic cooperation in the Russian Arctic. In late 2015 during President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China, the large Chinese state conglomerate, Poly Technologies agreed to be the main partner in financing, planning and construction of 712 kilometers of new railroad and modernization of 449 kilometers of railroad that already exists. Since 2012 the Chinese state-owned China Civil Engineering Construction Company had been involved in construction of the other sections of what is known as the Belkomur rail link.

Belkomur Rail Link strategic

This 1161 kilometer $15 billion Belkomur rail line, one of the largest infrastructure investments for northwest Russia, will pass from the White Sea to the Urals through Komi, and will connect the mining and industrial areas in Perm in the South-Urals to the port of Arkhangelsk via Syktyvkar in the Russian Komi Republic, enabling a much shorter connection between the Urals and the North-West of Russia, creating a major new route for trans-Siberian cargo. The transportation distance from the Urals to the North-West of Russia will be reduced by 800 km and costs by 40% less. The total cargo traffic of Belkomur is estimated to run at 24 million tons per year. Principal cargoes will be coal, bauxites, alumina and potassium chloride.

The Komi Republic holds vast resources of coal in the Pechora coal basin, oil and natural gas in Timan-Pechora oil and gas province, bauxite, gold, diamonds, titanium, sulfur. Almost two-thirds of the area is rich forest land and reindeer husbandry is a major agricultural sector.

The Russian decision to open up more comprehensive development jointly to Chinese companies in the resource-rich Russian North is a direct consequence of the foolish US and EU sanctions since 2014.

Archangelsk Deep Water Port

The Belkomur rail line is integrally linked to building of a new deep-water port at Archangelsk. Here, the Chinese are also involved in a critical way. Poly International Holding Co., a major Chinese state-owned enterprise active in international trade and coal-mining, iron ore and crude oil exploration investment, together with Russia’s Arctic Transport and Industrial Centre Arkhangelsk, signed an Agreement of Intent in October, 2016 for construction of a new deep-water port 55 kilometers north of the City of Arkhangelsk. It will have an annual capacity of up to 45 million tons and will be able to handle ships with a deadweight to 100,000 tons.

The new rail link coupled with the new Russian deep water port will enable economic infrastructure linking Archangelsk, Komi Republic, Sverdlovsk and Perm regions. Perm, near the Ural Mountains on the Kama River, one of Russia’s deepest rivers, is a major junction on the Trans-Siberian Railway with lines to Central Russia, northern Urals, and the far east of Russia. Perm has two big railway stations – historical Perm-I and modern Perm-II. The Kama River is an important link in the unifyinga key part of the deep-water system of Russia, connecting with European waterways. From the Kama river area it is possible to ship cargo to sea ports of the White, Baltic, Azov, Black, and Caspian seas without reloading.

On March 14, a Chinese delegation from Poly International was also in Mormansk, a port city on the Kola Bay, an inlet of the Barents Sea, where they reportedly plan to invest $300 million in enlarging the port for a coal shipping terminal. A new railway line a railway line is under construction along the western shore of the Kola Bay that will connect the coal terminal with the Russian national rail grid.

Now with completion of the Sino-Russian railway and port links, major new economic gains for the entire vast resources-rich part of northern Russia will open. The Eurasian land mass, despite, or actually because of, the foolish Western economic sanctions, is becoming one of the most beautiful economicn development areas of our poor planet. It is a model the warring West might consider as alternative to their many wars.

On The 2nd Anniversary Of Saudi Arabia’s Aggression, Heroic Yemenis March In Their Millions To Condemn War & Siege – By Jonathan Azaziah

by Jonathan Azaziah

Yesterday witnessed one of the largest antiwar, anti-Saudi demonstrations in history as MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of Yemenis converged on the city blocks of their capital city Sanaa to mark 2 years of war, siege and ruin at the hands of the House of Saud. The murderous tyrants in Riyadh have launched around 90,000 air strikes on the people of Yemen since March 26th, 2015. They’ve murdered over 15,000 Yemenis and wounded tens of thousands more. And thanks to their all-out, air-land-and-sea blockade on the the whole of Yemen–a blockade mind you that is being assisted in full by ‘Israel’ and all major Western states, including America, Canada, the UK and France–more than 17 million Yemenis are either starving or “food insecure”, i.e. on the brink of starvation. What we are witnessing here in the poorest state in the Arab world (and among the poorest states in the entire Islamic world) is the greatest humanitarian crisis on Earth today and a crime against humanity that runs parallel to what Empire Zionica did to Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.

BUT STILL THE YEMENI PEOPLE REBUKE DYING IN FAVOR OF SKYING. Indeed, this is what is most remarkable of all. So much death and destruction, chaos and carnage, horror and spilled hemoglobin all around them but the lions and lionesses of Yemen march and chant the slogan inaugurated by Sayyed Hussein al-Houthi (R.A.) like there is no tomorrow: “God is Great! Death to America! Death to ‘Israel’! Curse be on the Jews! Victory to Islam!” This scream of defiance echoes in the demonic brains of the GCC tyrants and their Zio-Imperialist controllers in “Tel Aviv” and Washington. Valiant and steadfast, Yemen wills itself out of the jaws of oblivion time and time again to raise the banner of resistance to Heaven’s rafters. You would think with so much suffering permeating Yemeni society, the Yemeni Islamic Resistance would have been long defeated by now but the opposite is in fact true.

730 days of war and Ansarullah’s missile-firing capabilities are stronger than ever, their maneuverability is stronger than ever, their morale is higher than ever, all of its commanders and leaders remain touched and their popularity is through the roof. Dönmeh Al-Saud on the other hand is spending so much money it has had to take austerity measures on the “home front”–quotations apply because Arabia/Al-Hijaz does not belong to the Saudi “royals” but rather is occupied by them–it has seen the UAE, Academi and Dyncorp driven from Yemen in humiliation, its casualties are over 10,000 and it has lost territory in Jizan, Asir and Najran. The toll Saudi Arabia’s invasion has taken on Yemenis is catastrophic no doubt, and immediate humanitarian assistance is required, but in asymmetrical terms, Ansarullah has already achieved total victory over the despotic Wahhabi enemy and this is a triumph to be celebrated for all-time. Yes, the great Egyptian revolutionary Gamal Abdel Nasser (R.A.) helped inflict defeat on Saudi Arabia in the 60s, also in Yemen coincidentally enough, but that was a proxy fight. What the Houthis have accomplished is unprecedented in the two centuries that Al-Saud has wreaked havoc on the land where Islam was born.

Notice the sea of Yemeni flags in the absolutely epic protest. Men, women, children, elderly, disabled, civilians, politicians, clerics, moujahideen and soldiers were all present. Sunnis, Shi’a and Sufis too. This was the embodiment of everything Yemen is and everything that Al-Saud failed to transmogrify Yemen into. A unified state and an even more unified society standing as one to combat a most wretched enemy. The vile tactics of divide and rule did not (and will not) work in Yemen. The usurping Zionist entity’s dream of controlling Bab el-Mandeb and implementing the ethno-sectarian regime laid out in Oded Yinon’s “A Strategy For ‘Israel’ In The 1980s” has flopped on its hideous, six-pointed-star-encrusted face. And most tellingly, despite the fact that there were millions on the street, that Saudi Arabia’s crimes against humanity are certified and verified, that Western ZOGs are complicit in this genocide and that ‘Israel’ is the strategic mastermind of all of it, the mainstream media was nowhere to be found, instead choosing to report about a few thousand Soros-paid, NED-controlled stooges chanting against Vladimir Putin on the streets of Moscow. Zio-MSM has been the central cog in the war machine against Syria and the same can be said for Yemen. The complicity (and duplicity) of these agents of deception is truly unique to this epoch.

With the “Arab” petrodollar monarchies led by Saudi Arabia against them, the global press lying about them or ignoring them, “The Ummah” brainwashed and apathetic towards them and nobody but Iran, the Syrian Arab Republic, Hizbullah, Sheikh Zakzaky of Nigeria and a handful of REAL activists scattered across the world speaking up in defense of them, Yemenis remain unbroken and upright two years into this Zionist-planned aggression. May peace return to their ancient civilization soon. ALLAH (SWT) knows they need it and deserve it after delivering blow after blow to the Takfiri Kingdom of Darkness on behalf of every single living, breathing creature on this planet. Striking Star Salute o’ Yemenis! The people of Mouqawamah are forever in awe of you! And history will remember you as CHAMPIONS! #LongLiveYemen #LongLiveAnsarullah #DeathToSaud

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov responds to US decision to block advance of Syrian army – By RI Staff (Russia Insider)

Lavrov says US should not exploit fight against terrorism in Syria

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commented on a U.S.-led operation that has blocked the Syrian Army’s advance on Raqqa

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov commented on Monday about the U.S.-led operation to block the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) from marching on the Islamic State stronghold of Raqqa.

Responding to a journalist’s question about the development, Lavrov stated that Russia supports any international efforts to combat Islamic State, but warned the U.S. “to fight terror rather than gain geopolitical advantages in Syria”:

[N]umerous uninvited players [are in Syria]: the US-led air force coalition, Turkish servicemen, and commandos from the United States and a number of European countries. All of this creates a rather motley picture, but we are confident (and have advocated this for a long time) that the main criterion should be our common concern in the fight against terrorism.

So far, coordination leaves much to be desired. We have reason to believe that our partners, including the Americans, are beginning to realise the need for remedying this situation. Let us hope that all of us will be driven by the well-understood priority to fight terror rather than gain geopolitical advantages in Syria.

Lavrov seems to be keeping his cards close to his chest, but it’s clear that he’s less than thrilled about Washington’s posturing around Raqqa. It could be as simple as a “lack of coordination” — but let’s be honest: There’s very likely a lot more at play here. Any attempt by Washington to prevent Syrian forces from liberating their own country from Islamic State should be seen as extremely worrying.

According to a trusted Syria expert, preventing the SAA from taking Raqqa signals that Washington is quietly preparing to “Balkanize” Syria — an analysis that we agree with.

Below is the journalist’s full question, with Lavrov’s answer:

Question: US commandos and Kurdish forces are involved in an operation to seize important dams and an electric power station on the Euphrates River in Syria’s Raqqa Province. They sustained losses and failed to capture the biggest dam on the Euphrates, but they managed to seize a less important dam at Tabqa. What is Moscow’s attitude to this joint Kurdish-US operation in northern Syria? How does this operation tally with the aims set in Geneva?

Sergey Lavrov: Everything that helps to enhance the efficiency of the fight against terrorists, primarily ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups recognised as such by the UN Security Council, is in full conformity with the UN Security Council resolutions. This meets our common interests, which consist in eradicating the terrorist threat in Syria and Iraq, in the whole of that region, and all over the world.

Numerous participants in combat operations are present on the ground in Syria and in the air over Syria, including Syrians themselves – the army of the Syrian Arab Republic, the opposition, the Syrian militia army cooperating with the Government army, the Kurdish militia that wants to defend its rights in Kurdish-populated areas – Russia’s Aerospace Forces, Russian military police, and Russian experts invited by the Syrian Government to help them to fight terrorism. There are also Syria-invited Iranian forces, Hezbollah, as well as numerous uninvited players: the US-led air force coalition, Turkish servicemen, and commandos from the United States and a number of European countries. All of this creates a rather motley picture, but we are confident (and have advocated this for a long time) that the main criterion should be our common concern in the fight against terrorism.

Addressing the UN General Assembly in September 2015, President Vladimir Putin suggested forming a united universal international antiterrorist front. Today this principle is as relevant as never before in Syria. To reiterate: We want both those invited by the legitimate Syrian Government and those who are in Syria without its invitation but have declared that their aim is fighting terrorism to start coordinating their actions. This includes coordination with the Syrian Government.

We tried to develop this approach during the Obama administration, with Secretary of State John Kerry; we invited military experts and reconnaissance experts. We came to terms on how to separate in practice the patriotic armed opposition from terrorist forces. Regrettably, the United States was unable to implement the agreement reached with the consent of President Vladimir Putin and President Barack Obama. And now we have what we have.

Again we have to go back to this principle. We are trying to help to establish this cooperation in Astana; jointly with our Turkish and Iranian partners we are helping to develop practical approaches to separating the normal opposition from terrorists and bandits. We see through this prism the developments involving the Kurdish forces and the American commandos as well as the developments related to the liberation of approaches to the terrorist capital of Syria, Raqqa. So far, coordination leaves much to be desired. We have reason to believe that our partners, including the Americans, are beginning to realise the need for remedying this situation. Let us hope that all of us will be driven by the well-understood priority to fight terror rather than gain geopolitical advantages in Syria.

Syria’s largest dam that contains the nation’s largest water reservoir has partially collapsed as a result of hostilities in the vicinity of the city of Raqqa, RIA Novosti reports.

The hydroelectric power plant on Tabqa dam has stopped working after the control unit of the station was damaged as a result of either artillery shelling or air raids, Al-Mayadin TV channel reports.

Units of Democratic Forces of Syria do not hurry to storm the hydroelectric station on the Euphrates River, as terrorists may completely destroy the dam.

Arab-Kurdish formations of democratic forces of Syria, supported by the US-led international coalition continue the offensive on Raqqa. According to various estimates, there are up to 4,000 terrorists in Raqqa.

The Twilight Zone USA – By Nancy O’Brien Simpson

The Twilight Zone USA. 60062.jpeg

Have you noticed we are living in a surreal Twilight Zone?  I might list just a few of the bizarre occurrences of late.  We may be on the verge of war with North Korea who is shooting missiles northwards.  Supposedly Russia hacked the US elections, or at the very least the servers of the the Democratic Party.  We have the august NYT telling us there was a dossier on Mr. Trump which had him hiring prostitutes in Russia to pee on his hotel bed because Barack Obama once slept in it (you simply cannot make this stuff up).

Hillary Clinton’s Vice Chair of her 2016 presidential campaign, Huma Abedin, was married to a man named Anthony Weiner who kept taking pictures of his ….ahem… his weiner… and texting them to other women, and sometimes, underage women.  When investigating his alleged sexting involvement with an underage girl in North Carolina, guess what was found on his laptop?  Yep, massive emails between Hillary and Huma.  Which spurred the FBI director, James Comey, to say he was reopening the Clinton server investigation, which in turn Hillary Clinton said lost her the presidential election (along with the Russian hacking and Barack Obama not campaigning hard enough for her).  So there is that.

Fake news

Next we have the main stream media, the media owned by the corporations, calling all news that does not emanate from them ….fake news.  You have the alternative media calling the main stream media….. fake news.  You have corporate news giants like the New York Times actually publishing fake news like the story of the Trump dossier on the Russian prostitutes.  Or, the Washington Post printing the fake news story of the List of 200 news outlets in the USA that were nothing more than Russian front organizations.  These alleged Russian fronts included The Druge Report, Ron Paul, Gaia News, really any source that had ever veered from the corporate propaganda line.  Total rubbish published by world class news organizations.  WTF?

Then there is the constant sub-current of massive pedophile operations in Washington DC. and throughout the world. Of course, we all know about the Roman Catholic Church protecting and pampering its hundreds of pedophile priests.  When their crimes against children became known, they were simply transferred to other parishes where they could molest more children.  But, let’s consider the more current outrages, and let’s begin with Jeffery Epstein.

So, in the USA this is how we treat our pedophiles (if they have money).  Jeffery Epstein lives in the largest private residence in Manhattan.  It is a nine story mansion just off of Fifth Avenue.  He owns a villa in Palm Beach, Florida, an apartment in Paris, and a private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  The private island is nicknamed Lolita Island because of the underage girls and sex slaves alleged to populate it.

So, in 2006 Epstein is arrested, according to Fox News:

“According to court documents, police investigators found a “clear indication that Epstein’s staff was frequently working to schedule multiple young girls between the ages of 12 and 16 years old literally every day, often two or three times per day.”

One victim, in sworn deposition testimony, said Epstein began sexually assaulting her when she was 13 years old and molested her on more than 50 occasions over the next three years. The girls testified they were lured to Epstein’s home after being promised hundreds of dollars to be his model or masseuse, but when they arrived, he ordered them to take off their clothes and massage his naked body while he masturbated and used sex toys on them.”

Epstein was convicted but the sentencing was shocking.  A virtual slap on the wrist.  He got one year, he could have received up to fifteen.  And, get this, it was spent in the private wing of a Palm Beach jail, and, are you ready, he was allowed to go to work 16 hours a day.  So basically, he just slept in the private wing of the jail.

The Daily Beast reports:

“Sex crimes of the kind Roberts (the prosecutor) alleges took place typically carry a term of 10 to 20 years in federal prison. Yet when all was said and done, Epstein served his scant year-plus-one-month in a private wing of the Palm Beach jail and was granted a 16-hour-per-day free pass to leave the premises for work. A Daily Beast examination into the inner workings of the Epstein defense strategy reveals how the fear and intimidation experienced by victims during pre-trial proceedings, combined with a ferocious, protracted campaign to undermine the prosecution – summed up as “the best defense is an all-star offense” – culminated in a set of charges that became a virtual slap on the wrist for the globe-trotting financier. Fear and intimidation experienced by victims during pre-trial proceedings, combined with a ferocious, protracted campaign to undermine the prosecution, culminated in a set of charges that became a virtual slap on the wrist.”

This is Jeffrey talking to reporters after the fact in 2011, reported by The Daily Beast:

From his plush perch, Epstein continues to dismiss any notions that he should be viewed as the child rapist that victims and Florida police say he is.

“I’m not a sexual predator, I’m an ‘offender,'” he told the New York Post in 2011, shortly after a New York judge classified him as a level 3 offender, or “a threat to public safety.”

“It’s the difference between a murderer and a person who steals a bagel,” Epstein said.
Now, the other interesting fact is that Bill Clinton went to Epstein’s Lolita Island of nubile pleasures about twenty times….  Hmmm..

And, get this, The Daily Caller writes,

“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York Magazine for a 2002 profile of Epstein. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it – Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”  In fairness, at that point Trump may not have know about the underage girls and the depths of Epstein’s depravity but it is still creepy.”

So the upshot of all this is that this man is still a darling of the A-Listers because that is how the wealthy roll.
Again, The Daily Beast:
“On the evening of December 2nd, 2010, a handful of America’s media and entertainment elite-including TV anchors Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos, comedienne Chelsea Handler, and director Woody Allen-convened around the dinner table of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It wasn’t just any dining room, but part of a sprawling nine-story townhouse that once housed an entire preparatory school. And it wasn’t just any sex offender, but an enigmatic billionaire who had once flown the likes of former President Bill Clinton and former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak around the world on his own Boeing 727… Now he was hosting a party for his close friend, Britain’s Prince Andrew, fourth in line to the throne.”

Oh, you weren’t invited?  So sorry, darling, maybe next time.

What kind of human beings, know that a man has molested scores of underage children, but because he is wealthy chose to hang with him.  What kind of human beings think so little of the abusing of scores of children that being seen in the glory of wealth is all that matters to them?  Well, there is Prince Andrew, there is Bill and Hillary Clinton. There is Katie Couric, George Stephanophous, Alan Dershowitz, former Treasury Secretary and Harvard president Larry Summers, Naomi Campbell, and scientist Stephen Pinker for starters.  Have their souls become so darkened that Epsteins molesting children is like a parlor game, and being with a pedophile is worth it if is he is wealthy enough?  Apparently so.
A quick jump to the surreal world of Pizzagate.  Yes, a pizza shop is alleged to be the focal point of a massive child sex ring.  Now, really all you need to know about his is that the owner of a pizza shop, James Alefantis, AKA Jimmy Comet, is according to QG Magazine the 49th most influential person in Washington DC.  Okay then.  We have senators, supreme court justices, ambassadors, directors at the Pentagon, and a pizza man is ranked the 49th most powerful person in DC?  His black mail list or his ability to procure children have to be the reason. One or the other.

Ready?  We have angry, very angry, women who hate Donald Trump.  And, they are expressing their rage and anger at his becoming president by ….  wearing pink pussy hats.  Yep, this is a fact.  And, some of the more motivated women are cutting out cardboard vaginas, painting them pink and sticking their heads through them to express their political outrage.  So, marching down the streets of America are women with their heads sticking out of pink, cardboard vaginas.

The CIA has a vault, Number Seven, and from this we know that the CIA can hack into smart cars and make them crash, perfecting the art of assassination.  We know that if you have a smart TV you never know if the CIA is recording you when the screen is dark.  We know the CIA has the means to make it look like Russia has hacked into some server when really it was the CIA.  We know that all our smart phones are recorded and that we now live in a total Security State.  We know it is the Twilight Zone.

So, we have Lolita Islands pedophiles hanging around with Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton and the A list crowd.  We have a mere pizza man who is the 49th most powerful man in Washington DC.  There is Anthony Weiner sexting with an underage girl with massive troves of Hillary emails on his laptop.  We have two of the most distinguished US newspapers, The New York Times and the Washington Post, printing blatantly fake news.  We have Russian prostitutes peeing on beds for Donald Trump in fake dossiers.  We have the marching vagina girls in their pink pussy hats.  We have the potential of nuclear war with South Korea a heartbeat away.  We have Russia and Putin so powerful they allegedly threw the whole United States democracy into a tailspin with their hacking prowess (or was that really the CIA pretending to be Russia).

I would say we are witnessing the undoing of a once great nation.  We are seeing what raw power and money does when it becomes the standard of that which is holy.  When the individual trumps the concept of the group.  Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The United States has become bloated on its own power and wealth.  The pedophiles protected by both the church and the ruling class is indicative of a ship that has lost its rudder.  The CIA turning against its own president.  The media mocking the process of democracy in its tirades against its own president and the democratic process that elected him, undermines democracy itself.  The elitism of Hillary Clinton was a big part of her downfall and indicative of how power views the seeming underclass.  Hillary speaking of Trump supporters,
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables…. irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.”

Sorry Hillary, yes they are America and second, who the hell are you to say someone is “irredeemable.”  It is this kind of arrogance that fuels an Epstein and his celeb friends to flaunt their debauchery.  This kind of arrogance that fuels the archdioceses to protect their pedo-priests.  The kind of arrogance with which major newspapers can print unsubstantiated fake news as truth.  The kind of arrogance that can assassinate human beings in their cars and monitor all citizens in their own homes equipped with smart TVs.  The kind of arrogance that has 700 military bases all over the world, because we can.  The kind of arrogance that dropped 26,171 bombs last year in seven countries.

It is this kind of arrogance that brings down a nation.  God help us.
