BREAKING: DNC Steals Sanders Delegate Seats at the Democratic National Convention – By Ariyana Love

U.S. Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ Delegate seats were stollen today at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia! California Sanders delegates were held outside longer than every other state. Seats where the Sanders delegates had been sitting during the convention, were blocked off with “Reserved” signs by the DNC.
Unauthorized “seat fillers” were occupying entire rows of seats, wearing Hillary Clinton tee-shirts. These are non credentialed people who should not be allowed in the convention.

Noise cancellation machines where put in place above areas where Sanders delegates had been sitting, in what appears to be an attempt to drown out their cheers.

Sanders delegate seats represent 17,000 to 200,000 or more U.S. voters each!

Did The DNC Hire Actors (At Below Minimum Wage)

Here is a craigslist ad advertising for paid actors at the Democratic National Convention. Whether the ad is real or fake is unclear, but the text suggests below minimum wage compensation (7-plus hours work for $50) and the number of walkouts from the Convention indicates perhaps a need for cheering happy seat-fillers… (Zero Hedge)

The ad reads:

Actors Needed For National Convention (Philadelphia)
compensation: $50.00

Looking for 700 people to be utilized as actors during the National Convention.
We currently have a number of empty seats that will need to be filled as we are currently removing a number of people and need to refill their seats for the remainder of the conference.
You will be paid $50.00 each night for the remainder of the convention. You will be required to cheer at all times and will be asked to dress properly and possibly wear some promotional material.

Rabbi Yisrael: All Palestinians Must Be Killed, Men, Women, Infants and Beasts – By Ariyana Love

#israel #rabbi #Zionism #JewishSupremacy
This was the religious opinion issued one week ago by Rabbi Yisrael Rosen, director of the Tsomet Institute, a long-established religious institute attended by students and soldiers in the Israeli settlements of the West Bank. In an article published by numerous religious Israeli newspapers two weeks ago and run by the liberal Haaretz on 26 March, Rosen asserted that there is evidence in the Torah to justify this stand. Rosen, an authority able to issue religious opinions for Jews, wrote that Palestinians are like the nation of Amalekites that attacked the Israelite tribes on their way to Jerusalem after they had fled from Egypt under the leadership of Moses. He wrote that the Lord sent down in the Torah a ruling that allowed the Jews to kill the Amalekites, and that this ruling is known in Jewish jurisprudence.
Rosen’s article, which created a lot of noise in Israel, included the text of the ruling in the Torah: “Annihilate the Amalekites from the beginning to the end. Kill them and wrest them from their possessions. Show them no mercy. Kill continuously, one after the other. Leave no child, plant, or tree. Kill their beasts, from camels to donkeys.” Rosen adds that the Amalekites are not a particular race or religion, but rather all those who hate the Jews for religious or national motives. Rosen goes as far as saying that the “Amalekites will remain as long as there are Jews. In every age Amalekites will surface from other races to attack the Jews, and thus the war against them must be global.” He urges application of the “Amalekites ruling” and says that the Jews must undertake to implement it in all eras because it is a “divine commandment”.
Rosen does not hesitate to define the “Amalekites of this age” as the Palestinians. He writes, “those who kill students as they recite the Torah, and fire missiles on the city of Siderot, spread terror in the hearts of men and women. Those who dance over blood are the Amalekites, and we must respond with counter-hatred. We must uproot any trace of humanitarianism in dealing with them so that we emerge victorious.”
The true outrage is that most of those authorised to issue Jewish religious opinions support the view of Rabbi Rosen, as confirmed by Haaretz newspaper. At the head of those supporting his opinion is Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu, the leading religious authority in Israel’s religious national current, and former chief Eastern rabbi for Israel. Rosen’s opinion also has the support of Rabbi Dov Lior, president of the Council of Rabbis of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), and Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, the chief rabbi of Safed and a candidate for the post of chief rabbi of Israel. A number of political leaders in Israel have also shown enthusiasm for the opinion, including Ori Lubiansky, head of the Jerusalem municipality.
There is no dispute among observers in Israel that the shooting in Jerusalem three weeks ago that killed eight Jewish students in a religious school was pivotal for Jewish authorities issuing religious opinions of a racist, hateful nature. The day following the Jerusalem incident, a number of rabbis led by Daniel Satobsky issued a religious opinion calling on Jewish youth and “all those who believe in the Torah” to take revenge on the Palestinians as hastily as possible. A week following the operation, a group of leading rabbis issued an unprecedented religious opinion permitting the Israeli army to bomb Palestinian civilian areas. The opinion is issued by the “Association of Rabbis of the Land of Israel” and states that Jewish religious law permits the bombing of Palestinian civilian residential areas if they are a source of attacks on Jewish residential areas. It reads, “when the residents of cities bordering settlements and Jewish centres fire shells at Jewish settlements with the aim of death and destruction, the Torah permits for shells to be fired on the sources of firing even if civilian residents are present there.”
The opinion adds that sometimes it is necessary to respond with shelling to sources of fire immediately, without granting the Palestinian public prior warning. A week ago, Rabbi Eliyahu Kinvinsky, the second most senior authority in the Orthodox religious current, issued a religious opinion prohibiting the employment of Arabs, particularly in religious schools. This religious opinion followed another that had been issued by Rabbi Lior prohibiting the employment of Arabs and the renting of residential apartments to them in Jewish neighbourhoods. In order to provide a climate that allows Jewish extremist organisations to continue attacking Palestinian citizens, Rabbi Israel Ariel, one of the most prominent rabbis in the West Bank settlement complex, recently issued a religious opinion prohibiting religious Jews involved in attacks against Palestinians to appear before Israeli civil courts. According to this opinion, they must instead demand to appear before Torah courts that rule by Jewish religious law.
Haaretz newspaper noted that what Rabbi Ariel was trying to achieve through this religious opinion has in fact already taken place. The first instance of such a court in Kfar Saba ordered the release of a young Jewish woman called Tsevia Teshrael who attacked a Palestinian farmer in the middle of the West Bank. And there are Jewish religious authorities that glorify killing and praise terrorists, such as Rabbi Yitzhaq Ginsburg, a top rabbi in Israel who published a book entitled Baruch the Hero in memoriam of Baruch Goldstein, who committed the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre in 1994 when he opened fire and killed 29 Palestinians as they were performing the dawn prayer in Hebron in the southern West Bank. Ginsburg considers his act “honourable and glorious”.
The danger of these religious opinions lies in the fact that the religious authorities issuing them have wide respect among religious Jewish youth. And while only 28 per cent of Israel’s population is religious, more than 50 per cent of Israelis define themselves as conservative and grant major significance to opinions issued by Jewish religious authorities. According to a study conducted by the Social Sciences Department of Bar Elon University, more than 90 per cent of those who identify as religious believe that if state laws and government orders are incongruous with the content of religious opinions issued by rabbis, they must overlook the former and act in accordance with the latter.
What grants the racist religious opinions a deeper and far-reaching impact is the fact that for the last decade followers of the Zionist religious current, who form nearly 10 per cent of the population, have been seeking to take control of the army and security institutions. They are doing so through volunteering for service in special combat units. The spokesperson’s office in the Israeli army says that although the percentage of followers of this current is low in the state’s demographic makeup, they form more than 50 per cent of the officers in the Israeli army and more than 60 per cent of its special unit commanders. According to an opinion poll of religious officers and soldiers supervised by the Interdisciplinary Centre Herzliya and published last year, more than 95 per cent of religious soldiers and officers say that they will execute orders from the elected government and their leaders in the army only if they are in harmony with the religious opinions issued by leading rabbis and religious authorities.
Wasil Taha, Arab Knesset member from the Tajammu Party led by Azmi Bishara, says that these religious opinions lead to the committal of crimes. He mentions religious opinions issued by a number of rabbis in mid-1995 that led to the assassination of former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin at that time. “If that’s what happens when religious opinions urge attacks against Jewish leaders such as Rabin, what will the situation be like when they urge attacks against Palestinian leaders and the Palestinian public?” he asks. “We, as Arab leaders, have begun to feel a lack of security following this flood of religious opinions, and we realise that the matter requires a great deal of caution in our movements as we are certain that there are those who seek to implement these opinions,” he told Al-Ahram Weekly.
Taha dismisses those who ask about the role of the government and Israeli political cadre in confronting these extremist religious opinions. “The ministers in the Israeli government and the Knesset members compete to incite against the Palestinian public and don’t hesitate to threaten expulsion of the Palestinians who live on their land in Israel and carry Israeli citizenship outside of Israel’s borders, just as former deputy premier Avigdor Lieberman and representative Evi Etam did,” Taha said. He notes that Palestinian citizens within Israel have begun to take extreme precautionary measures since the issue of these religious opinions, including security measures around mosques and public institutions and informing officials of public demonstrations so that members of Jewish terrorist organisations can be prevented from attacking participants. Taha holds that the sectors of the Palestinian population most likely to be harmed by these religious opinions are those living in the various cities populated by both Jews and Palestinians, such as Haifa, Jaffa, Lod, Ramleh and Jerusalem.
Palestinian writer and researcher Abdul-Hakim Mufid, from the city Um Fahem, holds that the religious opinions of rabbis have gained major significance due to the harmony between official rhetoric and that of the rabbis. Mufid notes that official Israeli establishments have not tried to confront the “fascist” rhetoric expressed in these religious opinions even though they are capable of doing so. “Most of the rabbis who issue tyrannical religious opinions are official employees in state institutions and receive salaries from them. And the state has not held these rabbis accountable or sought to prohibit the issue of such opinions,” he told the Weekly.
Mufid points out that when the official political institution is in a crisis, the Zionist consensus behind these religious opinions grows more intense, and offers as an example the religious opinions relied upon by Rabbi Meir Kahane in the early 1980s to justify his call to forcefully expel the Palestinians. Mufid adds that Israel in practice encourages all those who kill Palestinians, and points to the way that the Israeli government dealt with the recommendations of the Orr Commission that investigated the Israeli police’s killing of 13 Palestinians with Israeli citizenship in October of 2000. The government closed the file even though the commission confirmed that the police had acted aggressively towards the Palestinian citizens. Mufid suggests that what makes the racist rhetoric the rabbis insist upon influential is the silence of leftist and liberal voices, and the lack of any direct mobilisation against it.

US boosts Israeli shield at the expense of US domestic security – By Sputnik

David’s Sling: One more Israeli missile defense system paid for by the USA.

The US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has been spending an increased portion of its limited budget to fund Israeli missile defense systems at the expense of US domestic security, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) said in a report on Friday.

“Assistance for Israeli missile defense occupies an increased percentage of MDA’s budget,” the report stated. The report’s primary author, Thomas Karako, explained that “US programs tend to get cut as a kind of bill-payer for a larger Israeli program.”

The result of MDA’s growing foreign assistance to Israel “puts US missile defense and Israeli missile defense in competition,” for the same limited funds, the report noted. The United States has been assisting Israel in developing and procuring a number of missile defense systems including Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and David’s Arrow.

Between 1998 and 2011, MDA foreign assistance to Israel accounted for 1 to 3 percent of the agency’s budget. By 2014, the Missile Defense Agency was spending 5.5 percent of its budget, or $729 million, on the Israeli systems.

The CSIS report suggested the United States may “renegotiate the terms” of US military aid to Israel when it expires in 2018. The renegotiation would involve budgeting strategies to shift the financial strain off of MDA, as the agency faces increasing demands amid a shrinking budget. The MDA came into existence in 2004 following the US unilateral withdrawal of the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty with Russia.

Comment: Every man, woman and child in the USA feels so much better having sacrificed their domestic security so Netanyahu can have two…no, three…no, four or more…missile defense systems for stolen territory slightly larger than the state of New Jersey.

Cold War 2.0: Russian news show exposes CIA agents operating in Moscow (Video) – By Enrico Braun

FSB saw them coming a mile away

These guys look more like the three stooges, than professional intelligence officers

I wrote early in July about several farcical escapades of the so-called Central Intelligence Agency in Russia’s capital.

If this agency has any intelligence, I don’t know where or how they ever put it to use.

In once incident, a CIA officer tried to barrel his way into the US embassy, but got stopped cold by a no-nonsense Moscow cop on guard duty. Later, US state department representatives absurdly labeled this defense of the US embassy as “harassment” by Russia. And that wasn’t the only US spy caught in the act.

Russian TV news has produced a special report on the history of CIA misfires and failures going back to the days of the Cold War. Amidst the constant stream of vitriol about “Russian aggression,” it’s clear that Washington has never stopped treating Russia as an enemy.

Will anyone listen? Retired French general calls for NATO’s liquidation and join anti-terror alliance with Russia – By Sputnik

NATO’s present format and the alliance’s continuing expansion eastward is beneficial only to the United States, which seeks to keep Russia and Europe at odds, says retired French Army General Jean-Bernard Pinatel. Accordingly, he suggests the alliance be liquidated or ‘Europeanized’, and the creation of a European-Russian alliance against terror.

Interviewed by Le Figaro, Pinatel, a retired officer who now works as an expert in geopolitics and economic intelligence, recalled that if Russia and the European countries had succeeded in forming an alliance in the 1990s, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, they would have been able to effectively challenge US pretentions to global hegemony.

Now, the retired general emphasized, the threat of radical Islamist terrorism has once against opened a discussion on global leadership, and whether the US truly deserves its hegemonic position in Europe. According to Pinatel, the spate of attacks in Europe has clearly demonstrated to the French, and to other NATO members, that the US-led alliance is helpless in the struggle against the terrorist threat.

Moreover, against the background of NATO’s ineffectiveness is the example being set by Moscow, which, according to the expert, is once again forcing the French to consider an alliance with their eastern neighbor.

“This evidence, obtained at the cost of 234 civilians killed and 671 wounded since 2012, should not only jolt NATO, but lead to its total liquidation, or its full Europeanization, since the current policy of the alliance serves only interests which are not those of France,” Pinatel noted.

The general also recalled that Russia has repeatedly proposed cooperation with the United States in a coordinated campaign in Syria against Daesh and the Nusra Front terrorists, but has been refused, under the pretext that the so-called ‘moderate opposition’ still had potential.

As a result, he noted, the Middle East is witnessing the formation of a new equilibrium. “Russia, which has always been present in the region historically, is returning there once again. China, for the first time, is also actively poking its nose in the region. And only France, having once been privileged with the position of mediator, has lost everything under the patronage of the United States.”

The officer emphasized that he believes that Russian and French geostrategic and economic interests are “completely complementary” to one another, and that the history of the two countries has shown periods of fruitful cooperation and friendship, most recently during the Second World War.

Ultimately, “the US desire to return the atmosphere of the Cold War to Europe is being carried out through NATO, and serves the interests of the Americans, as well as incompetent and corrupt European leaders,” not those of the European people, Pinatel concluded.

Margot Kidder: My fellow Americans: We are fools – BY MARGOT KIDDER

© Bill Clark/CQ Roll Call

There is something I am going to try and explain here after watching the Democratic National Convention this evening that will invite the scorn of many of my friends. But the words are gagging my throat and my stomach is twisted and sick and I have to vomit this out. The anti-Americanism in me is about to explode and land god knows where as my rage is well beyond reason. And I, by heritage, half American in a way that makes me “more” American than almost anyone else in this country except for the true Americans, the American Indians, am in utter denial tonight that I am, as you are, American as well.

I am half Canadian, I was brought up there, with very different values than you Americans hold, and tonight — after the endless spit ups and boasts and rants about the greatness of American militarism, and praise for American military strength, and boasts about wiping out ISIS, and America being the strongest country on earth, and an utterly inane story from a woman whose son died in Obama’s war, about how she got to cry in gratitude on Obama’s shoulder — tonight I feel deeply Canadian. Every subtle lesson I was ever subliminally given about the bullies across the border and their rudeness and their lack of education and their self-given right to bomb whoever they wanted in the world for no reason other than that they wanted something the people in the other country had, and their greed, came oozing to the surface of my psyche.

I just got back from a rather fierce walk beside the Yellowstone River here in Montana, trying to let the mountains in the distance reconnect me to some place of goodness in my soul, but I couldn’t find it. The scenery was as exquisite as ever, but it just couldn’t touch the rage in my heart. The visions of all the dead children in Syria that Hillary Clinton helped to kill; the children bombed to bits in Afghanistan and Pakistan from Obama’s drones, the grisly chaos of of Libya, the utter wasteland of Iraq, the death and destruction everywhere caused by American military intervention. The Ukraine, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Chile, you name it — your country has bombed it or destroyed its civilian life in some basic way.

When I heard all the Americans cheering for the military and the pronouncements of might coming from the speakers in the Wells Fargo Centre, I loathed you. I loathed every single one of you. I knew in my gut that what I was taught as a child was true, which is that YOU are the enemy. YOU are the country to be feared. YOU are the country to be disgusted by. YOU are ignorant. And your greed and self-satisfaction and unearned pride knows no bounds.

I am not an American tonight. I reject my Puritan ancestors who landed in this country in 1648. I reject the words I voiced at my citizenship ceremony. I reject every moment of thrilling discovery I ever had in this country.

You people have no idea what it is like for people from other countries to hear you boast and cheer for your guns and your bombs and your soldiers and your murderous military leaders and your war criminals and your murdering and conscienceless Commander in Chief. All those soaring words are received by the rest of us, by us non-Americans, by all the cells in our body, as absolutely repugnant and obscene.

And there you all are tonight, glued to your TVs and your computers, your hearts swelled with pride because you belong to the strongest country on Earth, cheering on your Murderer President. Ignorant of the entire world’s repulsion. You kill and you kill and you kill, and still you remain proud.

We are fools.

Lisa Singh shows the ALP she is not done yet – By Erin Chew

By Erin Chew

Scratching heads and hurt egos plague the left of Tasmanian Labor as they discern how their Senate faction deal fell through. Their plans to install union stalwart John Short as the number three candidate were quashed as soon as the Senate results indicated a “vote below the line” win for Lisa Singh, with whom they originally relegated to number six just months out from the election.

An unaligned-left Senator, Lisa was hung out to dry by the powerbrokers in her state and pleas for her reinstatement fell on deaf ears. In a nothing to lose situation, a grassroots campaign was born fuelled by the anger and frustrations of disaffected members that an injustice had been committed and that Lisa had to be re-elected. No one in the ALP expected this outpour of support against the decision to replace a capable Senator who represented the diversity of Australia with a middle aged, white male who came through the ranks of the union movement.

Ultimately, Lisa was re-elected not because of a closed door faction deal, but because she earned the trust and support of Tasmanians who voted for her impeccable track record and work ethic. The need to re-elect her transcended factional politics, because a vote for Lisa would be a vote for independent Labor thought, as well as a vote for action on climate change, re-settling asylum seekers and fighting racial discrimination – positions Lisa is known to be out spoken on.

So has the ALP learnt much from this experience? Probably not, because until it clears out the toxic forces within its ranks change will not come any time soon. Prior to the election, Mark Butler, President of the ALP spoke at the National Press Club and proudly stated that the ALP was modernising and adopting a “democratised” approach in its candidate selection processes to ensure rank and file members have more ownership in decisions that are made at both a local and at a branch level. It sounded quite hopeful that the ALP was on the road towards change, but old habits die hard, and in the case of Lisa, this “democratised” approach was not applied and the forces of the factions and powerbrokers ruled the roost. If ALP rank and file members in Tasmania were given ownership over the candidate selection process, Lisa would have been pre-selected into the number three spot. But because she was not afforded this opportunity, she was left to the wolves to fight alone.

Despite the fact that the ALP was of no help, grassroots campaign volunteers worked night and day and not only got Lisa re-elected as a Senator, but also increased the ALP’s vote in Tasmania. However, this win does not change the fact that the ALP is still riddled with major contradictions as it attempts to transform its relevance to match the growing diversity of Australia’s demographic makeup.

Relegating Lisa was a blow to multicultural representation, and the fact that this did not cross the minds of ALP decision makers is telling of its failure of being a culturally competent party which has lost its way in “democratising” its machine. Of course, having more women elected and on the Shadow front bench is extremely important and having a handful of senators and MPs representing other cultural communities is also imperative, but the truth remains that its representation of Asian Australians is quite dismal considering around ten percent of Australia’s population hail from an Asian background. And even though this should not shadow the achievements of newly elected MPs such as Linda Burney and Anne Ali who represent both Indigenous and Muslim Australian communities, they are just the one or two who have made it, but are still too few and far between to be considered as representative. If Lisa was not re-elected, Penny Wong would be the sole Asian Australian representative, sending the ALP backwards twenty years on culturally diverse leadership.

At the end of the day there were 20,000 Tasmanians who voted ‘1’ for Lisa and this is significant considering Bill Shorten gave her a call a week after the election to congratulate her. And despite being dropped from the Shadow front bench her return has defied all the rules of engagement in the ALP’s faction and power broking guide book. With continual advocacy and outcry from the multicultural and mainstream Australian communities, it is hoped that the ALP will soon realise and learn how important diverse voices are to truly represent the growing colour and diversity of this great nation, and how this trumps its current methods of operation. Let’s hope that modernising the party via a “democratised” approach will come to fruition one day, and that candidates are selected not purely based on factions but based on merit and contribution, and that the ALP lives up to its traditional roots and values of fairness and equality.

Canthama “exclusive to SyrPer”

The city of Aleppo was all party during Thursday the 28th, the good and brave people celebrated the great victory in Bani Zayd and Al-Ashafriyeh districts by the Syrian forces and allies, the night of Thursday to Friday was the first night in many years they slept safely and not fearing random mortars from the NATO backed terrorists, the battle to recover all Syria is far from over, but victories like that do bring hope to permanent conditions for improvement in quality of life for civilians.

We are also seeing the first civilians leaving the terrorist held eastern side of Aleppo toward the safety of the western side, though it is expected that the terrorists will make it difficult to happen smoothly and safely, since they cowardly used and use civilians as human shield for their own protection, but this time, Russia is having a felt presence in Aleppo, not only helping to drop food to the eastern side but coordinating with the Syrian Government the transfer of civilians to the western side, this give high visibility for this operation, a direct link to the the United Nations Security Council, not that it could change anything, but it guarantees very high visibility and documentation to the world on what is happening there.

Maps credit to Military Advisor @Miladvisor

Aleppo: The strategic victories in Layramoun, Bani Zayd, Al-Ashafriyeh and the northern part of the Castilo road, was not only important to lock tight the terrorists inside eastern Aleppo city, basically sealing their fate to surrender or a slow death, it brought security to millions of Syrians in the crowded western side of Aleppo, as explained above. But, it also created the conditions to further advance, with a solid safe backing, toward Kafr Hamra and the main vital cross road of Ma’arat al-Artiq.

This offensive is about to start and will most likely have 3 axies, one with the Tiger Forces spearheading from Al Mallah farms, a 2nd with most likely the 4th Mechanized Division storming Layramoun district and a 3rd with Syrian forces advancing from Obari farms/Az-Zahraa district toward Ma’arat al-Artiq/west Layramoun district. It is important to note the few thousands of soldiers that were freed up from guarding the large frontline of Bani Zayd and al-Ashrafriyeh districts, those soldiers with years of urban ware fare training will be of huge help in this up coming offensive.

Still in Aleppo frontline, the fierce fight in the northeast continues, the combined Syrian forces, SAA, NDF and Liwa al-Quds, are advancing inside the north of the Handarat camp, as well as approaching from the western side. The key aspect of this battle is the importance of the many hills around this urban area, controlling the hills give an extraordinary advantage, in the northern part of the camp the Syrian forces do have the high ground and no surprise to see the recent gains inside the camp there, but on the southern part, the control of Humrah hill continues at the terrorists hands and sometimes disputed. At the moment the attack toward Handarat camp is happening from two axies, form NW and NE of it, slicing bit by bit of the town north to south, this is happening for 3 days straight, and the today’s effort to storm Humrah and al-Shuqayyif. A game changer event would be to see the YPG inside Sheikh Maksud advancing from a 3rd axies and securing the youth housing north of the neighbourhood, but that would have to happen in coordination with the advance toward Humrah hill. Anyway the coordination with the YPG organization inside Sheikh Maksud is not yet clear.

Lattakia: After what it seemed a desperate terrorist attempt to storm the hills near Kabanah past Thursday, which the terrorists claimed to control Zuwayqat hill. The Syrian forces, under the leadership of the Sea Commandos and the Desert Hawks, not only recapture the Zuwayqat hill as they opened up a new offensive to re liberate Kinsibba. The first wave of attack was very efficient and the village of Shillif was re liberated and fighting was reported at the SW entrance of Kinsibba.

For a successful result to hold the town of Kinsibba, the Syrian forces will have to head straight to Ain al Qantara and Hinsibba, these two forward villages would guarantee a presence in Kinsibba until its defenses are strong.

Damascus: There is a “check mate” battle on going in East Ghouta, with fights in Hawsh al-Farah and Hawsh Khayyat winding down, most of the farms and factories around it are safely in the Syrian force’s hands, there is still some small fights still on going but should die out quickly. The terrorist losses were very high, a dé-jà vu situation as in Maydaa back in early June where the terrorists put a fight knowing its loss would mean a risk to all central-east Ghouta, which in fact it is happening.

We are seeing the prelude of the battle for Hawsh Nasri, Hawsh ash Shalaq, the very central nerve for the terrorists, the loss of it will cripple the terrorists in many aspects, not only vital farm lands as food source but would create unsustainable situation for Tell Kurdi, near Damascus-Homs highway and further southeast at the large village of al-Nashabiyah.

Two days ago, in west Ghouta, the Syrian forces have gained more ground inside Darayya, pushing the terrorists further inside downtown, in total the terrorists lost an estimated 80% of the area they once controlled in and around Darayya, the longest straight battle in the war of aggression against Syria. The situation is becoming quite dire since the terrorists have no way to get ammo, food and medicine, a low death awaits for them, a fate they have decided after turning down many offer to surrender.

THE Turnbull Government had nowhere to turn after the ABC’s Four Corners program aired footage demonstrating the degree of abuse experienced by children in Darwin’s Don Dale Youth Detention Centre in August 2014 and, accordingly, indicated he would be going down the path of a royal commission.

The prime minister called his Indigenous Affairs Minister Nigel Sculion on the day it aired to render the gratuitous “please explain”, but the minister indicated the matter hadn’t “piqued” his interest enough to watch the documentary at the time it aired on Monday nght. And following a predictably woeful response from the Northern Territory Government, there was little choice for Turnbull — he had to follow through with his promise to pursue a royal commission into the whole deplorable and disgusting affair.

Clearly, this was a begrudging decision if there ever was one, because, let’s face it, the Government is far from concerned with the human rights of Australia’s First Peoples. So, by setting up a “quick and dirty” royal commission, Turnbull found a way to get his clap on the back from White Australia, whilst simultaneously sending an undeniable message to Aboriginal Australia.

The clear message for Indigenous Australian came in the appointment of Brian Martin QC to head up the Commission.

And who is Brian Martin?

Well, according to white rightwing Australia, Martin is a distinguished former chief justice of the Northern Territory Supreme Court (2004 to 2010), as well a former Supreme Court judge in South Australia — one who became more widely known after presiding over the internationally known Falconio trial.

Ask Aboriginal Australia and the story will be very different, however.

This is because in 2010, Brian Martin presided over a trial now infamous in the Wild North, relating to five white youths viciously murdering an Aboriginal man in Alice Springs. Then, in the middle of the night, these young men took a car and decided to go joyriding around the dry Todd River bed. To go driving around at high speed as scores of Indigenous people lay sleeping.

This reckless endangerment of the innocent people was one thing. But when one man, Kwemetyaye Ryder, threw a bottle at their car in feeble retaliation they stopped. They got out and came over to him and then bashed him to the ground. Then, they repeatedly kicked him into unconsciousness. At last, as Kwemetyaye lay defenceless on the ground, one of the thugs delivered the cowardly final killing blow — a broken bottle to the back of the head.

Despite the obscene and horrific nature of this crime, Northern Territory Supreme Court Justice Brian Martin QC described the youths as

“…. of otherwise good character.”

These murderous youths had their charges downgraded to manslaughter and then the judge, Turnbull’s appointment Brian Martin, considered their crime to be at the “lower end” of the scale of manslaughter, handing down sentences of between one and four years. A man was remorselessly murdered but, because he was Aboriginal, his life was worth just 12 months. And the rest not much more.

All because, in this country, you can be racist and hateful, and murderously violent, but still be considered of “good character” — just as long as your victims are black.

Appointing Brian Martin QC is Malcolm Turnbull’s way of sticking the knife in to Aboriginal Australia. He is perturbed at needing to deal with a national scandal, and inconvenienced by the need for a royal commission, but he wants to make sure that we all know how he feels about an impartial and thorough investigation. The Commission hasn’t even started, but the fix is already in.

Like all royal commissions concerning Aboriginal people, this one will run its course, White Australia will have its guilt assuaged and nothing – nothing at all – will change for Indigenous Australians.

That is not justice. It is tyranny.
